And twisted his ankle in the first 5 minutes of the game.  Could barely trot off the ground when he was called to rotate.

I've read your post and Biffen's and may have gone the early crow re Hogan's efforts.

Hogan: frustrated with injury

He went down to the rooms during ( if I remember correctly) the third quarter for some treatment.

im not sure if we'll see him next week.

Hogan had a very heavy collision with the post in the 2nd qtr.

I was at the game and thought Brayshaw was very classy, especially by foot. He may not have got much of it, and tired late, but his kicking skills were a highlight.

As were Frosty's, actually. Was suprised a number of times by how improved his foot skills are

Really ? I liked that Bradshaw was hard at it but I thought his disposal, like many, was off.

i thought Frost looked very safe today.

Just rewatched the game and can confirm joeboys comments are Tyson are, politely, plain wrong. Turned a few over but was very constructive. The comment that he regularly butchered the ball is just plain wrong.

N.Jones - playing under duress

Vince - lost the edge

Hogan - seemingly without passion

Watts - perfect clutch player

Petracca - keep it simple

Dawes - some minor involvements

Viney - made little impression

Brayshaw - regularly wrong decisions

Gawn - prolific without dominating

Tyson - continually butchered disposals

Stretch - valuable running game

Kent - conditions didn't suit?

Frost - valuable when confident

T.McDonald - persistent and valuable

Hunt - played with dash

O.McDonald - played to limitations

Garlett - another poor game

vandenBerg - took his chances

Jetta - safe and reliable

Wagner - scary with ball

Harmes - finding his place

M.Jones - improved but limited

God, this is crap. Tyson was the only one of our star studded midfield to make an impression

Watts- better than niknat?

He was good today, so good that even Sen were commenting that they would take Watts over niknat if the draft were today. How times havechanged.d

I was right on the boundary watching Hogan warm up and go through the Physio stuff.

He is not right .

He looks extremely proppy.

Anyone signing him up to a 10 year deal go ahead.

He doesn't lead because he cannot sprint.

Just my observation and I may be wrong.

He has hip/lower back issues-also explains why he cannot kick over 50.

He had a set shot from outside 50 that landed 8 rows back What do you mean he can't kick 50?

So you don't think he regularly butchered the ball?

He's also almost permanently at the coalface. Butchering the ball when you're under the cosh is a bit different to Harmes' numerous efforts where he was in the open, but still couldn't deliver a 30m pass and have it reach its intended destination.

If you watched the game you'd agree with me

So Tyson got votes On SEN, The Age, The HS and was named in the 3 best on the AFL.

So I will ask - did you watch the game ?

It is not that I disagree that Tyson's disposal can improve but I would suggest that for some reason your dislike of Tyson blinds you to what he brings to the side.

If Tyson was Usain Bolt, after winning the 100 metres at the Olympics you would comment that he "chews with his mouth open".

We won ugly - that's the difference from last week!

Dont usually like Dunstall but his 3 word analysis of the DEES and the frustration of being a supporter summed it up for me: 'Horrendous, going skiing!'

There's so much I like about Harmes. I love his attitude, his courage, his work rate, his tackling, he finds the ball but gee whiz... some of those disposals were horrific. It doesn't matter how good he is at all those other attributes, if he keeps those up he just can't be in the team.

I kept thinking about how it should've been Salem in his position yesterday and how much of a difference he would've made.

Vince - Career Worst Game

Garlett - Psyched himself out.

Petracca - Genius on DIsplay

Petracca - was a pretty good 14 disposal game. The dawes and Kent passes ( besides bruising teamates because of how hard and fast they travelled) were sublime. I am salavating at the thought of another preseason and him getting 25 plus disposals a game.

The ball drop and the subsequent trajectory of his kicks is all wrong.

At AFL if you can't bullet a pass accurately either foot from 20 metres you shouldn't be playing.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
