I'm going to let him blame the sun on this occasion.

He was staring straight into it and their colours are kind of sunny ,as they are the suns.

So maybe he couldn't see Lynch in the Sun.

Clutching at straws there

Agreed, but he's had an ordinary year. Apart from a couple of games loose off half back, he's been a shadow of 2014/2015.

This. He's been undisciplined and wasteful for at least the last 6 weeks. And petulant.

Speaking to a Coterie Member on the train home. He reckons Vince has already re-signed for next year and he told them quite a while ago. Is this true?

My own feeling is that Bernie has either got a social issue that is affecting his play or more likely he has fallen into his bad habits e.g. drinking etc.

He does seem half a yard short of speed at the moment. He was woeful today and against St. Kilda.

He needs to stop hanging around Dustin Martin.

Wasn't his re-signing announced weeks ago? Months ago even?

Does he need a strong mentor?  Is there such a person at MFC?

Could it be perhaps that he has a sore shin? Or maybe he has given Damien Barrett his glasses back.

He hurt his calf/shin a few weeks back, and hasn't been the same since.

I don't think it's fair that we go and claim that he is struggling because overnight he's become an egomaniac alcoholic. FFS he is having a bad patch, lets not go crazy here.

Needs to get back to form or take a holiday to Casey.

Yet another one who has signed a new contract and gone walkabout immediately thereafter. Surely it is not team rules to kick a 30 metre chip to a contest inside defensive 50 with seconds to go? What does Roos do to tell players, particularly senior players, that this is not acceptable?

If you are not smart enough to kick 50 metres along the boundary to your ruckman in a pressure situation, you should not be playing at this level.

Bernie was poor last week, and dreadful yesterday. I don't understand why he is not playing in the midfield where he has played all his best football for the club. If he is not fit, he shouldn't be playing.

Yeah maybe, orrrrrrrrr (and hear me out here) it could be the shin injury he copped a few weeks ago... But hey, just spitballin here..

Things happen for a reason;

Vince had the type of game that was so very bad you briefly wonder if he had money on us losing. For that he gets a couple of pages on here of fairly mild criticism.

Now picture the response if Tom Mac had of had that game...................scary

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
