Daw a possible target?

Just so people don't forget.

Spencer was only given a one-year deal.

Which basically says to me that as soon as we land someone who offers more than being able to eat five parma's in one sitting, he'll be gone.

Daw is not the answer, for the hundredth time. But I'd have him over Spencer on any given day for a third or fourth rounder.

Gawn has shown just how difficult he can be to match-up on as a forward and I firmly believe that if we wish for him to continue playing consistent football for entire seasons at our club, he is going to need a helluva lot more support than the odd Pedo/Watts cameo in the ruck. He has had three knee oppos and is the second tallest ruckman in the league and not far from the heaviest either I would imagine. The club would be well aware of this and I think as soon as we get someone in who can also provide a genuine forward target and can kick goals, we'll see a double-team situation in which Gawn will have more periods forward.

Would love a quality forward/ruckman. But Daw is better than what we currently have and will provide further support whilst the Kings continue developing their bodies and footy at VFL.

Ben Brown, Mason Cox, Mike Pike... It'll click for Daw at some stage.

Tell me this isn't true.

Can you show me Dawes then since he arrived at the club?

How many games has he influenced besides the one against Adelaide?

We get it BA. You rate Daw very highly.

I haven't mentioned or made an argument for Dawes so I don't get your point, sorry.

My argument was that a player who has a highlights reel obviously looks good in it. Point being it's a pretty weak tool to convince someone a player has any worth.

(FWIW Dawes highlight package makes him look like a star, Neeld probably watched this and drafted him based on it. How'd that work out?)

Fn Starks.

The only Stark I trust is Tony.

Just sign the Accords, Steve...

(That's a lot of pop culture right there...)

Where is the Demonland GoT thread so I can outline everything wrong with this post?

No way. He's shithouse and a [censored] person by the sounds of it.

Who exactly?

He has not been charged with any crimes.

He is struggling to get a Guernsey because he is back up to Goldstein .

He goes well at VFL level.

Well worth consideration I would think.

As someone who's privy to a lot of inside information (due family involvement at the club), I hope we stay well away from Daw. There's a lot more to his story than just past off-field issues and lots of potential.

Whilst he has potential to actually be a good player, he has much more potential to cause disharmony amongst the playing group. Unfortunately it's his off field actions (re: training, attitude & respect for other players) that I would suggest are most of concern than any past alleged actions.

When he's on he's a terrific presence. My only concern is that he has the aerobic capacity of Russ Hinze.

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an
