Some random who said he has inside sources at the pies just called SEN and claimed magpies talking to Jesse. Something going on between Jesse/coaches... etc

Pies have nothing we'd want unless we swap for Moore.

This is by far the worst rumour I have ever heard.

Straight swap for Jesse White.

Given they have no first rounders for the next couple of years if there was even the slightest bit of truth to this rubbish rumour i'd want Treloar or Sidebottom and Moore

This morning I read some of the previous 6 pages. I simply cannot understand some of the posters on here.  Some of you take yourselves and life way to seriously. Some of you clearly spend too much time on your computers and need to get out and enjoy your lives.

Over the years I have presented Demonland with numerous scoops. Roos after round 3 2014, Mitch Clark playing on but leaving Dees (I think I broke this to the press) etc. Each one has been met with skepticism by many.  I have given inside on some of the MFC trade targets, some have happened some have not. The sources have been various people in the club and player agents (I am close friends with 3).  Demonlander’s are free to believe what I write, believe it is BS or believe I simply play the odds or link the dots (sometimes I do link the dots and then look to confirm).  What you believe I don’t care, either believe it or dismiss it, but the social media movement of randoms heavily, aggressively criticising other randoms for posting info on a rumor blog is extraordinary and a poor reflection on the aggressor. Seriously!

Now back to Jesse Hogan. I once again confirm my previous statement; he has informed the club he wants to play-on as a Dee. Contract negotiations have begun (or will shortly begin). He will sign a new contract with the Dees.  If my info is wrong I will leave Demonland forever.  I am sure that in the coming weeks the Club will inform the media of this development.

So you keyboard haters, be my guest, waste your time cross examining every word, knock yourselves out with another 6 pages of dribble, its entertaining to me.

GNF there's so many on here that really enjoy your updates. Im one of them.  Especially when they're positive like this one! Dont let the haters drive you away. This site would def  lose something if you went. Things can change and If you're wrong, you're wrong.

Shortly after that, I think it was Daniel Harford who said a text had been received which said it was noted that when the team sang the song JH was in the background looking anything but happy.  Reading too much into things I suspect.  He probably wasn't happy because he wasn't out there on the day.  But I have looked at the footage on the MFC website and I can't pick it up.  Anybody else notice?

Same guy rang 3AW last night with the same crap and now just read the same script calling in to KB.

I heard this too, and I think it's worth clarifying. The caller said he had "intel" from inside the club and that, among other things, they were going to make an approach to Jesse Hogan. He didn't say that talks had already taken place.

This was in the context of KB & Patrick Smith saying that the situation at Collingwood had been overshadowed by the Brisbane & Richmond goings-on, and that now that Hardwick seems safe and Leppa is gone, the blowtorch will now go on to Buckley at Collingwood. This prompted a few outraged calls from fans defending Buckley.

This called who said he had 'intel' was more trying to placate the irate fans by saying that issues were being faced internally. His first point was how much the drugs thing had disrupted the entire club for many weeks early in the season, and that they were discussions about getting the players to sign statements that they would not use recreational drugs in the off-season.

I thought the mention of Hogan was to give the impression that the club was aware of their on-field weaknesses and were seeking to remedy them, even if it meant going for a big target like Hogan. It was a sort of "magic pill" delusion of "if we had someone like Jesse Hogan, we'd be a lot better and Bucks would be safe and everything would turn out fine" that would paper over all their other problems.

In fact, PS, who had been very critical of Bucks's record and had had a heated argument with an earlier caller, did back off and say that setting their sights on someone like Hogan was the right thing to do, although he also said he had no idea why someone like Hogan would want to go anywhere near Collingwood just when Melbourne were looking so good.

He definitely did not say that talks had already taken place.

must be just petty jealously that brings out the nasty, pathetic remarks.  Now idea why people cant just take your info for what it is and move on.

hope you keep posting

Agree with the sentiment. Just hope it all pans out as predicted GNF.

Someone who can accurately report what was actually said.  Congrats.

He muttered something on sen last night about hogan being upset with the club and it having something to do with family issues.

If there is any truth in things going on at the moment in regard to mood and movement, in my opinion it would not be impossible to see players who at present occupy opposite ends of the ground being traded. therein lies mutual benefit and AFL(bless their little hearts) satisfaction.

It would be ignorant to assume that it would just be Fremantle trying to court Hogan anyway. His manager would be receiving plenty of approaches.

Much more helpful.

Collingwood can hypothesise all they want, but they don't make sense as a destination for Hogan.

I'm sure moving 0.5km west will help his Perth family issues :P

The issue many have is they don't read what is written - It is a comprehension problem - if you read what GNF originally wrote - "it could take up to 6 months".

Then you are tying this to the next statement as if it is a contradiction  " in the coming weeks the Club will inform the media of this development".

The only thing that not one will argue with is that until the ink is dry on the contract nothing is confirmed. (again - you will note that GNF has not confirmed that a contract has been signed - he was confirming what Hogan has told the club)

This says to me the development is not of the signing, but of his decision to stay.

I've got no doubt that several clubs would be discussing how to target Hogan, just as we did with Dangerfield. We were never a chance of getting Dangerfield, but unless you shake the trees, you never know what will fall out.

The one factor that everyone keeps bringing up is the potential of our list compared to other clubs like Collingwood or Fremantle. If Hogan has any reasons for wanting to leave Melbourne, he'd see himself as being capable of changing the fortunes of the club that he chooses, so IMO, it's a non issue. We just need to keep Jesse happy on all fronts.

He's got a snowball's chance in hell of getting a kick at Fremantle, our delivery will be 1000% better over the next five years.

You just confirmed my point. The best player in the AFL last year in Fyfe, plus Mundy, Neale, Walters, S. Hill and probably B. Hill is not a shabby midfield. If Hogan wanted to go to Freo, he'd have a better understanding of their list than you.

Seeing he is contracted until the end of the 2017 season......I don't see what the panic is all about

Spot on - Footy Ops managers meet with player managers regularly to discuss their players from their clubs. Player managers usually manage more than one player and you can bet that names from opposition clubs are always discussed - "is such and such happy ? interested in a move ? we are interested" - 95% of the inquiries will go nowhere.  You don't know the answer if you don't ask the question.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

Narrm time isn’t a standard concept—it’s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.
