No-one loves Brayshaw more than me, but he needs a few very good performances at Casey before he's considered.

Let's get him back in when he's confident and in form.

No change. Give them a shot at redemption.

Out Harmes Hunt Salem  a little tired or sore in Anb Oliver trengove . Wagner to take salems role and id play vince of half back .

I agree that Hunt, Salem & Harmes should make way for Oliver, ANB and one other and even though we got smashed I was really surprised to see that we still achieved 55 Inside fifty's to the saints 57. It was the way they ran it out of our forward fifty that really concerned me, whereas we struggled to stop them from scoring and they were kicking from all angles they also had 14 marks inside 50. Our back line was a shambles yesterday, hopefully it was just a glitch like the Bombers game!!

Time to unleash the RAGING BULLen.

Neale-Bullen must come in. Has done everything right and will be ready to go. Oliver comes in also.

I only watched the first half,  from the sounds of things it was the second half where things got ugly. I'm not sure who gets dropped, but a loss like that prompts 3-4 changes.

Was wondering why I didn't hear his name yesterday.

Too hard to know who is best to bring in this week but I really hope ANB plays well. I'd be quite disappointed for him to play his first bad VFL game this week and miss selection because of it.

I agree to a point that the coaches didn't do enough, but it's really hard for them when the players just aren't running hard enough, the Saints totally outworked us, they killed us on transition with speed and skills and we didn't work hard enough to put pressure on, just gave up and let them move it easily.

And we couldn't hold a tackle.

I don't think he was sighted often and I haven't seen the game but I understand Garlett did play.

We were smashed because the coaches sat on their hands rather than proactively made any changes.

The players being exhausted didn't help, but Oliver would've had more energy than most today.

For those that think Oliver, an 18yo first year player would have made a difference, are deluded.

stop relying on inexperienced players to push this club forward.

The pressure should be placed on 100+ gamers of which we desperately lack.

Missing the point. It's about bringing in fresh players after a short break, and more runners (less talls) for a quick ground.

He wouldn't have made much of a difference, Coot, but he genuinely makes us better.

Matt Jones not playing at Casey so you can count him out. Brayshaw KOd with a ball to the head from close range so no chance to play. Based on first half in very blustery conditions oliver and garland a good chance. Trengove gets it but still slow on the execution to be ready. ANB, white and others serviceable without starring but hard to tell as a lot of play other side of ground and in close. Michie playing off half back has been very good but wouldnt expect him to come in.

Based on today Trengove is not quite ready. Stretch and Oliver based on today and ANB based on weight of performances (although I did not think he did much wrong but did not have massive impact).

Of the backs Garland and O-Mac were very good. Would not be surprised to see one replace Dunn.

Michie played all game off half back and was excellent. A role well worth persevering with.

Interesting playing him there!

I think he's got the vision and skills to play there - reads the play very well, just not sure about the pace.

Was it a Salem style role? Setting up plays from the backline, rebounding? - Cheers

Yes Michie very much a  Salem style role.

Great result for Casey, should make selection easier. Given how much of a mess our defence was yesterday, it deserves the most scrutiny at selection. I'm hoping for something along these lines:

Michie or Stretch in for Salem (concussion).

Garland for Dunn (omitted).

Vince moved back into defence to replace Hunt or Wagner (rested).

Oliver into Vince's midfield vacancy (no brainer, he should've been back in yesterday off his 12 day break).

We desperately lacked leadership in defence yesterday and the players just seemed confused about who was responsible for which player. Hunt and Wagner have been impressive at times but I don't want us persisting with two inexperienced kids in defence with Tom Lynch running amok. Vince will bring some experience and class to our backline that Hunt or Wagner simply don't possess yet.

With Mitch King out for the season, promoting Michie is an option if we want it. I know it feels a bit "been there done that", but by all accounts he's been as good as all the other names in contention. We obviously kept him around for a reason, and he's in form and apparently playing in a role we are about to have a vacancy in (Salem's). I wouldn't rule it out.

And if I had bought a tattslotto ticket last night I would be $4M richer today.

How on earth can anyone know what sort of game  someone who DIDN'T play in the team would've played ? He could have just as easily had a quiet week like he did two weeks ago.

You have now gone from the realms of considered opinion to outright guessing...

(And please don't point to his VFL game - we have seen many footballers get leather poisoning at VFL and get promoted and not get a touch)

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
