No one is calling the season over mate, but our first quarter has been poor.  Our skills in particular have been awful.  I'm not worried but it's fact.

Then I suggest those who are not liking what they are seeing, stop watching it, I'm listening on the radio, being overrun at the moment with direct footy,  doesn't sound too impressive, we have twice as many possessions, so we are over finessing, but it's the NAB Challenge, assume there will be few words at qtr time

Might give Brad Johnson a bike pump oh hang on he doesn't need any help pumping up the Bulldogs tyres!!!!

fmd they really shouldn't be commentating on their former teams.

Now, its not a surprise if Max Gawn breaks even with both opposition rucks. But still breaking even with them even when both Minson and Campbell contest the same ruck contest, that's impressive.

Garland flew for a mark only to try and chest mark it and bounce of his chest..

Mark my words McDonald and Garland will cost us alot of goals this year.

Kicking against a strong breeze at a ground with no cover to block the wind and in 30 degree heat.

We've controlled general play but kicks inside 50 have been held up in the wind and end up dead balls.

This quarter will be a better gauge.

That's a silly thing to say Saty.  We haven't been impressive, we've turned it over, fumbled the ball and our kicks inside 50 have been average at best.  People here aren't slitting wrists, just calling it as they see it.  If it's bad then it's bad.  You can't spin it any other way.

On the radio they said there was no breeze and then in the next breath said the wind was favouring the doggies

Defensively we were awful, just like against Port.

given how close this is to our best 22 compared to the dogs, there is no excuse today, if we be extremely dissapointing.

Garland.

Same farken story again haha.

I think we'll know we've turned a corner when we start beating teams who have more than half of their starting 18 not playing.

Until then, we'll continue to see the same Melbourne.

Skll-set of our back six has got to be the worst in the league.

Lin Jong with 10 touches. Another meh player who always seems to play well against us.

Wind has been a factor no doubt. Even watts found it hard kicking accurately going forward.... That said we need to be much better.

But they are training really well so you're wrong.

There is definitely a breeze. Melbourne's kicks all hang in the air then fall dead, Bulldogs kicks just go and go and go.

I am not spinning it, I said it sounded unimpressive on the radio, just suggesting if people don't like what they are seeing, switch it off

O Mac, Terlich and ANB didn't make the squad.

Dogs have dropped Dahlhaus, Boys, Wallis and Macrae from theirs and have named a very, very weak side.  It's shite to be honest.  I'm kind of disappointed by that as I would have liked to see us up against close to their best side, plus I don't see the benefit in resting so many of your players when they need match fitness.

I know we've been playing very ordinary but....

Watching it on TV the wind looked to play a massive part in our poor kicking disposal into our 50. We seem to be dominating in general play, I can see a 7 or 8 goal quarter to the dees coming up.

I hope im not wrong

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan.
