For all who are interested, there will be a Club Sponsored BBQ at Gosch's Paddock on the 18th December to celebrate the last training for 2015.

Training is expected to start at 9.30am and finish at 12 or 12.30.

This is a great opportunity to bring the kids to watch training, have a coffee and relax. Hopefully the kids will wear their guernseys and make it a fun day.

Any queries either post here or contact the Club on 1300 336 667

excellent the club is hearing the fans.   they're listening.   & they're acting.

I can't make it as I'm a 2Hr-45min drive away from training,  Or 40min drive from the station, before a 1.75Hr train ride.

but am I really glad to here the changes ringing in,  for my beloved dees.

Sounds a better alternative than heading down to the gym (a footy hit to get me through the Xmas break)!

As a member who moved interstate 7 years ago, this sort of stuff really tugs at the "return home" strings!

My 7 year old lad is even more passionate than myself when it comes to our beloved Dees and if it wasn't for us both also being local Norwood members, I don't know how much longer I could resist the urge...

Great work by the club and hopefully plenty of folk get down and cheer the lads on...

Note - At least we get to go to a pre-season game at Elizabeth Oval :)

I have asked Santa for a bullet proof vest and first aid kit for Christmas!

What are the chances of them changing it to a Saturday if I ask nicely?

Based on some of last season's results, there's probably more chance of the team turning up on a Friday than on a Saturday. :o

The Club has confirmed that the training session on the 18th will now commence at 9.45am and end at 11.30am.

Sausages will be sizzling and coffee brewing before training starts.

Hopefully everyone is aware of the parking limitations around Gosch's Paddock.

Alexander Ave across the Yarra is the best bet for parking. Reasonably priced on the side of the river. Near the corner of Anderson St. Short 5 min walk across Morrell Bridge(?) pedestrian bridge to Gosch's.

Awesome. Definitely take the kids along to this, they can't wait for the season to start!

Pretty sure the train station would be the best bet for parking for me if I could get there.

This is such a big event that I intend to forgo public transport and walk from home.

I'm seeing Star Wars at 3:00am that morning but will try and stay awake to watch training as well.

The force awakens.

This is a great initiative by the club which is really looking after its supporters.

I wish I could be there but alas, I'll be flying to Puerto Rico for a Caribbean tour.

I'll also be going to Trinidad and Tobago looking for some West Indian cricketers (there certainly aren't any here) and then on to French Guiana and Devil's Island (the second spiritual home of the Demons after the G).

Wishing you all the compliments of the season and looking forward to reports and photos of the final training session of the year.

And it's onwards and upwards in 2016.

WJ Happy Holidays. We will all be thinking of you and what you are missing.

For all the others coming down to training on Friday don't forget the sunscreen. It's going to be hot:cool:

Not sure they'll even need to bother with BBQs. For those who are going, I admire your commitment (and please drink plenty of water, wear a hat and remember that Satyr might look like Santa...but he's much, much more than that.)

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round. It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield.
