Did anyone hear Plough's mini review?

Yep, didn't say too much that we don't already know.

- Said Watts and Dawes are on the table and might be traded for the right deal

- Melbourne are into Melksham and Ben Kennedy

- We have trouble in appealing as a destination club for the big names.

Don't remember anything particularly noteworthy to be honest.

As expected it was pointless. Told us nothing.

But Josh Mahoney is about to be interviewed, so hopefully some juicy stuff coming.

Josh on now:

Melksham, done a lot of work on him, want run and curry. He has indicated that he wants to join Melbourne

Been in contact with Dorodo, they are on the same wavelength insofar as what a fair deal would be (he didn't say what that was)

No offer for Danger. Said 10 mill over 6 was ridiculous and disrespectful to playing list.

Interest in Thomas Bugg. Fits our profile.

Jeremy Howe, still a chance to stay on list. He is testing the market, there are a range of clubs that have a certain monetary value on him.

Jack Watts - Thinks he will still be a Melbourne, initial interest from other clubs but no follow ups.

Jimmy Toumpas- Thought he showed improvement, been hampered by injury, still thinks there is still in AFL player there, he thinks Jimmy may want to go home but is exploring opportunites

Dawes - Bit of a vague answer, but said that its other clubs that might be talking about this.

Aaron Black- No discussions with him

Well, the run does often follow the curry.

(Seriously, thanks for keeping the rest of us updated. Even if it is waffle)

Brief summary of what was said.

- Highlighted the clubs desire to bring in competitors

- Club has talked and made progress with both Melksham, Ben Kennedy . Didn't really talk about what the club will need to give up in exchange for them

- Nothing has been offered to Patrick Dangerfield.

- Bugg was noted as another option for the Dee's

- There is still a chance Howe will stay a Demon. Said decision time for Jeremy is approaching

- Watts and Dawes will most likely remain Demons.

- Toumpas is looking at other opportunities.

- Aaron Black was mentioned as an option by Barrett. The club has not yet considered him as an option

- Colin Garland should be re-signed over the next couple days.

Reading between the lines.

Interest in Howe from others (multiple) I think gone.

No interest in Watts

Active in chasing Freeman and Bugg

Very active in chasing everyone, but every club is

Toump all but gone, he wants out but club see potential and would keep him

Garland to be announced as staying in coming days.

Quite often Curry can lead to extra run out of the back line Edited by Old Man Rivers

Chris, just to clarify, do you mean Howe is gone or the interest in him from others has disappeared?

Reading between the lines (my own interpretation):

Melksham will be a Demon in 2016

Kennedy and Bugg quite likely to be at the club also

Watts is staying

Howe is likely to go

Toumpas no certainty to go, looking elsewhere but club hasn't lost faith

Garland is staying (announcement soon)

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

Some veteran Demonland Trackwatchers ventured down to Gosch's Paddock to bring you the following observations from another Preseason Training Session. WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
