what? because of the "drug rampages"? changing your tune

Yeah, mostly the glassing. Not a big fan of adulterers either, but each to their own.

So don't watch. It was his choice to go on.

ETS shall return. As will Internet censorship so demon landers need to be aware.

I met Anthony and Kelly only a matter of a month or 2 after the affair in remote Far North Qld where i was living at the time. They were clearly trying to escape the world and salvage their relationship. Spoke for 10 minutes or more and i have not met a more likable, humble footballer in my life and could not believe how down to Earth and approachable he was considering what he was going through.

Glad he is finally comfortable enough to get off his chest what is still one of the biggest stories in football in the past 25 years and that he seems happy and content with his life and his kids.

I reckon he's worth our second rounder.

No need. He'll soon be a delisted FA. Cost nothing. Worth nothing.

If he forgave the wife, he should have forgiven Carey.

She is as much to blame as he is.

Absolutely, & maybe even MORE responsible IMO,,, than Carey, who was known as egotistical. The wife was the mother of his children, & was his wife. She cheated on Stevens & cheated on their Kids...

She should have been the one in real prosecution by the media... more than Carey.

..... but thats just not cricket, is it ?

More to blame. She was the ones that made the vows, and she was the one that broke them. He was just the dog wandering past when she came in heat.

Stevens can certainly hold a grudge, it was over a decade ago FFS, get over it buddy

No, it takes two to tango. This attitude is more in line with some extreme muslim cultures where it's always the woman's fault.

what! it is the Womans fault, Careys as well, but the wife & mother, it doesn't just happen bumping into one another.

goodness me; your making apologies for the female, because it's not the done thing to call them on it. well, they need to be called to responsibility! as did carey, & he was castigated, all over the place, in the media, onfield, off field, he copped it everywhere & I hated him for it, hated him... but I forgive him now after he seems to have done a lot of work on himself, after becoming a bit of a wreck.

as for she, IMO she got off scott free, & she should not have gotten away so easily. its a disgrace, the betrayal.

. & no, I'm not Muslim AF... oh, by the way its not always the Womans fault AF,, & at others times it is, & not the mans fault. hows that, is that muslim as well.

His life was destroyed give him a break FFS. If someone had a hand in destryoing my marriage id have a grudge too.

It ruined his life, his marriage. Get with the program buddy.

I gather nobody actually felt a need to watch, as the whole show has been recreated in this thread anyway.

"He's a [censored]"

"She's a [censored] too!"

"I don't care"

"I think she's more of a [censored] than he is, she made vows"

"I think he's more of a [censored], because mates and captains shouldn't do that"

"I still don't care"

"I think it is more awful if you have made marriage vows. Besides, everyone already knew he was a [censored], so it doesn't really count"

"What are you, Muslim? Not that I'm saying blaming women is a Muslim thing. Of course."

"I think it is really important that everyone knows how much I don't care"

"Y'know, he was a pretty great footballer too."

"Who Carey?"

"No, Stevens."

"Are you saying Carey wasn't a great footballer? What kind of idiot are you?"

"Did I mention that I don't care?"

"Can we trade Jeremy Howe for Stevens or Carey?"

"Can we trade Jack Watts for the washing machine?"

As for me, there's something about the Carey saga that triggers this little voice in the back of my mind going;

"Wow, there is a man who is lucky he isn't Aboriginal."

is there anywhere to watch this interview for us that a living below the poverty line?

Substitute 'randy coach' for randy footballer and yes, it has happened before.

Wouldnt have be down Geelong way by any chance a few years back.........

Can't believe there are people on here that think it was the woman's fault more than the mans fault just because she made vows and had children.

It was both their faults, equally. They could both say no. He knew she was married, so he should not even have had that in his mind.

Also, I'd never forgive my wife or the person she had an affair with ever if that happened to me.

His life was destroyed give him a break FFS. If someone had a hand in destryoing my marriage id have a grudge too.

In most cases the marriage is already destroyed before the extra curicular activities occur It is mostly a symptom not a cause

I've heard it all now. People aren't robots, they have impulses. All marriages have ups and down. Most work through the issues, some walk away from it.

you're a strange cat, goffy

One small step for man..........

The whole thing's a disgrace.

I sat down to watch Footy Classified last night and all I saw was this Laurie Oakes bloke rambling on and on and on ... I mean which team does he coach?

Was FC on at all?

Does Oaks coach Oakleigh?

More to blame. She was the ones that made the vows, and she was the one that broke them. He was just the dog wandering past when she came in heat.

Carey was married too. Plus Carey has still never apologized.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
