I can't handle the thought of North making a GF.

I'm going to be sick if they make the Grand Final.

Two teams I despise playing next week, worst case scenario.

Posted

Am torn ATM.

On the one hand, the potential of both WA teams failing in prelim and the subsequent mood in Perth makes me chuckle. Also a team winning from 8th is not bad.

On the other hand, I hate North, they were allowed to effectively cheat in the last round. Also can't see them beating Hawks, Eagles Breyer chance IMO. Finally did I mention how much I hate Norf

The hate for North Melbourne really defies belief. Sure they’re not my favourite club, but a North GF appearance is not the end of the world when you look at what other horrific clubs are out there.

When it means Hawthorn will have the easiest possible three-peat victory imaginable, it makes my blood boil.

They would've laughed their asses off if you told them a month ago they could line up in the GF against the worst finalist in the 8.

And the coach pizzes me off.

North’s pressure at the ball carrier tonight would make Hawthorn worried. Hawthorn are next-level though, so it really doesn’t matter either way.

Still shaking my head at Freo last night. They were actually stupid enough to play defensive rather than pressure and harass Hawthorn all night.

There is surely no way imaginable North Melbourne will fall backwards into a premiership this year. No chance whatsoever.

Terrible kick Nic Nat. Can ruck but that's about it, terrible around the ground.

He's pretty good at the second efforts and tackles. Poor kick though.

Harvey, Thomas, Scott. Ill give you those three. Who else? Brayshaw?

Thompson, Waite, Nahas off the top of my head.

Used to quite like Roos, but last 5 years have grown to despise them.

If they win, Waite, Brown and Petrie could help cause an unbelievable upset. Think you will find Petrie and Waite have a history of beating Frawley

Ben Brown need to stop going up for mark with one hand only. Hard to take spectacular one handers as a big forward, unless you are Hulk Hogan!

THE ACCIDENTAL DEMONS by The Oracle

In the space of eight days, the Melbourne Football Club’s plans for the coming year were turned upside down by two season-ending injuries to players who were contending strongly for places in its opening round match against the GWS Giants. Shane McAdam was first player to go down with injury when he ruptured an Achilles tendon at Friday afternoon training, a week before the cut-off date for the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period (“SSP”). McAdam was beginning to get some real mom

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the
