I cant go past the game at the Cattery

Living in the Geelong region and having to put up with Geelong supporters for 20 odd years

That was one of the sweetest wins for a long time especially being at the ground watching the Geelong G me in their Corporate boxes as a Guest

too the other 5 Melbourne supporters that I saw that enjoyed the game in that area with me I know it is a game we can live on till footy commences once again next year

Seeing the blooding of young players and their performances as they grow

Hogan a obvious standout

Jones the Captain we needed

Viney continues to Impress along with Brashaw

Gawn seems to have come of age

Garlet continues to excite

These are just a few thoughts I wonder what others think?

Hogan ragdolling Rance in the wet way back in Round 4. We sort of already knew he was awesome before then, but that was when he officially became awesome and got league-wide recognition. I was sitting in the Ponsford Stand, getting soaked, when he slotted the sealer from the boundary line. That's #1 for me.

Has to be the win against Geelong at their dung heap and Maxxys coming of age during that game.

I think we all knew Hogan had what it takes but Vandenberg was really exciting and Viney has reached another level.

Salem is all class and I love watching him.

Easy for me. The Cats game.
I had downgraded to a 3 game membership this year as the chances of me living overseas were pretty high (and that has turned out to be the case). Therefore, I was delighted that my brother was able to get me a seat in a corporate box at Skilled (or so I thought). It turned out his boss misunderstood and got me general admission. Therefore I thought I was in for a dog of a day. I even had to put my scarf back in the car as I was told in no uncertain terms that it was a Geelong corporate box so I had to modify my behavior thusly.
Sitting on my own, no free beers and thinking we were going to get pantsed in freezing Geelong weather. How's that for a trifecta?
It turned out to be the second best Melbourne victory I have witnessed live (the best was when we embarrassed Adelaide in the 1998 Qualifying Final). Shame I was the designated driver for the trip back to Ballarat as we stopped at the pub in Meredith for a few frothies.

The Cats game was pretty much flawless. Next to no turnovers, contested marking all over the field. If only they could bottle that.

The Cats Game hands down. The only thing that could have been better would have been beating North at Etihad.

The best win was the Cats down at Geelong win of course.

But there is NOTHING like beating Collingwood, especially after a long drought against those maggots.

I was in Las Vegas for work (I swear!) for the Cats game. Got back to the hotel and listened to the last quarter on my computer when I was supposed to be drafting stuff up. To celebrate I went downstairs and played Blackjack for 4 hours along with the free booze. Went into the meeting the next day still gitty as [censored] and even without a plan still nailed the meeting.

Absolutely spewing I missed that game. Wouldn't have gone to Geelong but would have loved to watch it. I think back to when we won in Adelaide in 2014, was watching it at Crown and the [censored] Crows supporters there wouldn't shut up the whole game. I loved that feeling. Sad I missed our best win of the year

The Geelong win, just purely because of the unexpectedness of it. Couldn't believe what I was seeing.

The win against the Pies was good too, after embarrassing ourselves the week before. The Demonland Hyperbole Machine was in full swing in the leadup and wrists were slashed left right and centre. I thought it was almost a given that we would win after that.

The early season wins against Gold Coast and Richmond feel like they were a decade ago now. It's amazing how your memory of a season dims, especially when you ride the rollercoaster of despair to elation on a weekly basis as we do.

Highlight for me : the nucleus of what will become known as 'The Diaper Demons', a group of hard nosed competitive guns all of roughly the same age leading us up the ladder. They will be lead by Jesse Hogan, Jack Viney, Tom McDonald, Angus Brayshaw, Dom Tyson and Christian Salem, and further enhanced by Billy Stretch, his best mate Mr. Neal-Bullen, James Harmes, Oscar McDonald, Mitch White and presumably Christian Petracca. It's a rich group who will continue to crystallise as a team and shake off the past like it's not even there.

Agree. My highlight is that every single one of the players drafted last year, including the rookie draft (other than Petracca) played at least one game. And none of them seemed to have been out of their depths beyond what one might expect for first year players (although I haven't seen O-Mac or White play so am basing that on comments made on here as well as stats, game reports, etc). Take a bow, recruitment team.

The Bullies game was Sweet, loved watching Hogan destroy Rance. Beating the filth, but yeah, beating the cats at Kardinia Park prob the best. No Hogan that day either.

The youngsters. Never in my wildest dreams did I expect guys like Hogan, Brayshaw, Stretch, Harmes and ANB to have the impact they did.

In regards to Hogan, I would've been thrilled if he had played only 10 games and kicked 20 odd goals. To play 20 games, finish with 44 goals, place third in contested marks for the league and to be the favourite to win the rising star and is beyond anything I could've possibly imagined.

I guess the Geelong win was alright too I guess....

No question the Geelong game. Made the seemingly annual pilgrimage to the worst ground in the comp with zero expectations,

given some of the players selected in the side, and the spectre of 186 still hanging heavily.

Found our seats were up the 'other' end of the ground to usual, and the ground was bathed in glorious sunshine for the couple of

hours before the contest. Thought that might be as good as the day got. What we saw was as asssured performance over 4 quarters

as I've seen by the side since the Sydney massacre. As an added bonus our seats were near the race so we got to race over and cheer

the players off raucously, a day that will live long in the memories...

I loved the Richmond win, and in the context of the season it was probably the most impressive win given their ladder finish.

The young players for me were my highlight, because more than any individual win, the fact that we finally seem to have a group of really strong capable and some potential A graders to build around, is very exciting.

All of the above were great but one incident stands out for mine and that was when Jones grabbed Pendles at half time in the Pies game, all and sundry came in to stand up for their team and captain, something I had been screaming for for years.

Showed heart and a team togetherness I think has been sadly lacking. To then win the game made it all the sweeter.

Especially loved Viney rag dolling Varcoe and getting his own back for an errant knee earlier int eh game!

Really enjoyed the Geelong win - it was so unexpected. The Richmond win seemed so long ago but I was there and it was an awesome night. In my household, a win over Collingwood is a joyous occasion.

Toss-up between beating Geelong down there on Enright's 300th and ruining the Pies finals chances, both were equally delicious.

Demonland highlight for me was little stuie getting the dressing down of all dressing downs from WJ after acting like a petulant child (which is his MO) in one of the threads where he was asking about an injured player.

Joel Selwood whining for a free at the stoppage and getting told to get off the ground because his nose was bleeding.

Mine was his tackle on Mav Weller..Tried the old don't argue on him running into an open goal, and Viney dumps him like a sack of potatoes.. Wellers reaction after trying to catch his breath with Viney strutting to take his kick was hilarious.
