According to bigfooty, Watts is off to Richmond

Well they where going to us there first rounder last year for JT.

Unrelaible source (bloke in pub) but he was spouting after the game today that Howe, Watts and future draft pick beening offered to Gold Coast for Benell. Appartently Gold Coast interested, Watts not keen on Gold Coast though.

What pub?

Dancing with the stars is the best place for Watts to go to.

You mean a straight swap for Todd McKierney? I'm guessing he's a left footer.

If he was reported injured then why was he warming up with the team pre game.. Funny huh?

But believe what you want. Just posting what I saw on FB

Jack was dropped, but given Hogan was tested pre-match and was under some injury cloud, I'd say Jack would have replaced him.

Something is brewing here.. I reckon it will be involved with a big name player.

or the other way, dd36, a packaged deal, for a package of players, seperate to what you likely were thinking.

but I do think we are into a big name as well, just not one deal Dees this year, IMO.

My hunch is it's O'Meara if anybody from the Suns. Bennell has that 'could leave the game' feel and I'm not sure the club is that bold just yet.

I would like to know what has happened.

However some of these posts are absolutely disgusting. He is a human being and desreves to be treated as such.

dimmy, no one here has ever that I know of, criticised him as a human being, as a person.?

but we do have the right to critique his style of play, or his endeavor playing for our club, or his intent, or work ethic... these are not personal criticisms, but are critiques of his work.

have you ever criticised a song, or singer, within earshot of another person? have you ever spoken about a tradesman's work to others, in a negative fashion? Or any others, you may have criticised in a group of people, or a forum ? if you have, your in danger of being hypocritical.

Watts is gone, spoke to Jackson and Rawlings in the room - he didn't ask to be dropped, they're putting him up for trade because his heart isn't in it/his last month has proven that.

Source is directly from peter Jackson and Rawlings mouth.. I was there with my Dad who knows them.

They just said they're gonna put Jack out there and see if they can get anything for him and that just his attitude towards playing for the Dees has been disappointing and that's why they essentially dropped him from the 2s as well- and saying how having Harmes, White, Viney, Stretch etc were just a better fit in the team clearly, and no chance of picking up Yarran because he's too much of a risk to pick up.

Seeing wattsy in the rooms though, he gets on well with everyone but maybe he might also want a fresh start elsewhere and is happy to go up for trade. If no one wants him maybe it will be a reality check and get him to work harder.

this sounds right... I really hope Wattsy ends up at GCSuns. He needs to be under Rocket Eade. Eade will teach him, & make a man of him, especially away from his Ma & Pa.

IMO, this is the move he needs to make, to grow real independence, & learn to flourish in AFL.

If you were looking to make up a credible rumour, that would be pretty close to the mark.

Garry Lyon has been very confident all year that Prestia will be playing in Melbourne next year. You would think he has some inside info about it. It wouldn't surprise me if we have used Watts as trade bait as part of a deal for Prestia & perhaps even in enquiries about Bennell.

In a dream trade we could offer Watts, Howe & our first rounder for Bennell & Prestia or something similar.

Regarding the Facebook rumour, judging by the source I see no reason for her to lie about it being the daughter of a well known Demon personality. I don't agree with her telling the world about it though. Like another poster said maybe naive & probably stupid.

Think you're right bing181. However, if everyone in the pub's wearing skinny jeans, I'm declaring bs. If it was said in the front bar of Fosters in Dandenong I'm declaring it gospel.

If Watts held up that trade he would be the most hated person in MFC history (well after the plebs who sacked Norm Smith)

Meh. I give this no more credit than any other unsubstantiated rumour. I don't believe that high-ranking club officials would be chatting about something like this in public, especially not in a crowded room where they could easily be overheard, nor do I believe that they would tell the daughter of a "well known supporter" whatever that means. I do fully accept that it fits in with the anti-Watts bias many posters have and as such they will run with it as gospel. Such is life, but I don't buy it.

    REDLEG PRIDE by Meggs

Hump day mid-week footy at the Redlegs home ground is a great opportunity to build on our recent improved competitiveness playing in the red and blue.   The jumper has a few other colours this week with the rainbow Pride flag flying this round to celebrate people from all walks of life coming together, being accepted. AFLW has been a benchmark when it comes to inclusivity and a safe workplace.  The team will run out in a specially designed guernsey for this game and also the following week

    REDEEMING by Meggs

It was such a balmy spring evening for this mid-week BNCA Pink Lady match at our favourite venue Ikon Park between two teams that had not won a game since round one.   After last week’s insipid bombing, the DeeArmy banner correctly deemanded that our players ‘go in hard, go in strong, go in fighting’, and girl they sure did!   The first quarter goals by Alyssa Bannan and Alyssia Pisano were simply stunning, and it was 4 goals to nil by half-time.   Kudos to Mick Stinear.

    REDEEM by Meggs

How will Mick Stinear and his dwindling list of fit and available Demons respond to last week’s 65-point capitulation to the Bombers, the team’s biggest loss in history?   As a minimum he will expect genuine effort from all of his players when Melbourne takes on the GWS Giants at Ikon Park this Thursday.  Happily, the ground remains a favourite Melbourne venue of players and spectators alike and will provide an opportunity for the Demons to redeem themselves. Injuries to star play

    EASYBEATS by Meggs

A beautiful sunny Friday afternoon, with a light breeze and a strong Windy Hill crowd set the scene, inviting one team to seize the day and take the important four points on offer. For the Demons it was not a good Friday, easily beaten by an all-time largest losing margin of 65 points.   Essendon threw themselves into action today, winning most of the contests and had three early goals with Daria Bannister on fire.  In contrast the Demons were dropping marks, hesitant in close and comm
