The same six that featured in the Demonland poll. This would have to be a first. I hope that the other seventeen teams are paying attention!

Most had Brayshaw instead of Garlett.

I think putting 6 MFC players in is a bit of a knee jerk reaction. The team was good, that was a surprise - must have had several stars.

I also had Brayshaw in my best six however I don't have a problem with Garlett (or even Watts for that matter). I think that they had to focus on positions (which is why Gawn is nominated in the forward pocket rather than in the ruck)!

Only 12 teams played this week with the bye.

Still a great result.

When was the last time the Dees had more players in the team of the week than any other team?!

This is why I love footy.

Probably about the last time we beat the Cats at skilled!

Round one, actually, I seem to recall we had four.

Has this ever happened to MFC before? I certainly can't remember more than maybe the occasional three. Not even sure is the highest number from one team since this has been around.

Shows that there has been significant progress as a team.

Keep it up.

We did, but the Dockers had 5.

just nit picking here- why the [censored] is Vince not named guts or one of the onballers. 34 touches, 38, 38- more clearances, more contested posession than cripps. its not about 'team balance' as a. there is no such team or b. any of the other blokes there could be named HFF as well as a better mid is named as such. Pisses me off

Pretty rare for us to have the whole ground covered in the team, defender, ruckman, midfield and forward..they all deserved some recognition and well deserved. Im over the moon for Gawn, he is like a Toumpas for me, someone who i really want to make it.

I agree! We should have had eight in the team, including Vince and Brayshaw!

Vince has to be in All Australian form

If he keeps this up, he should be selected... but then not play because heaven forbid he gets injured!

We need consistency from BV 3 weeks of B.O.G compared to 5 weeks of 25 disp etc ..i prefer the latter...

He has had 25 touches 6 out of the last 7 games, so that's reasonable consistency

Sorry C & B

Ask Robbo, he beat the Cats single handed.

7G 3B equal highest tally of his career.

I love the man, so much humility.

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the

MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’
