I think I'll do the ironing whilst the game is on, that should take me to about 10 mins into the second quarter then I'll go do other stuff.

We should be 8-10 goals down by then.

Not looking forward to today's game. I dislike Geelong with a passion and see a 10+ goal defeat coming up. hoping to see Watts and Toump build on last weeks performance and Tyson to find some form

I try to be positive each gameday but I am finding it very hard to achieve that state this morning.

we shouldn't be getting smashed by a middle of the road side but we will.

To save time can we have all the excuse now.

We will get them one day soon as more and more real footballers arrive at our club. The gap between us and them is reducing.

I'm heading down today to watch my first afl game at skilled..

Absolutely gutted Hogan is out.. Just hope we are there abouts at 3qtr time..

They have a few injuries.. So who knows..

Jones will have to kick 3 today and have 35+ for us to have a sniff..

Hoping Toumpus fires again!

2-3 goals per quarter better side than us......for today...

Cats to win by 40+ @ 1.90....hmmmm....got a lazy fiddy lying around.

I'm watching the game in the background today. Family afternoon tea at 3. I'm saved.

The gap is reducing....except for today, it will expand.

An honourable 120 point loss coming up. Geelong are a well drilled team with some up and coming young guns.

For your sake, and the others who are making the trip, I hope we put up a competitive effort and come home with a win.

If we had our round one team in I'd be much more confident.

It will be carnage. Odds on Geelong (head to head) on Sportsbet are 1.11. I got on at 1.15. Easy money.

I've only ever bet against us once, but we won, never again.

I'm actually looking forward to going to ikea today (cant believe i just said that).

I went to a bar b que last night that was mainly full of South American expats. (the 'lads" got me an invitation) Anyway it was bloody freezing so I was wearing my Demons scarf. A couple of the gauchos engaged me in conversation and asked me, incredulously, If I actually followed Melbourne. When I replied in the affirmative they were very sympathetic and asked me how much I expected to lose by this weekend. These guys know bugger all about Aussie Rules and follow soccer. FMD!

We are less capable to cover a deep injury list than they are. Even with Kelly and Bartel out they have better mature players and leadership. Put their best 22 and our best on the park and the gap is much reduced. Put the named teams out there and we should hold our own at the contest but will struggle to retain the ball and when we go forward have no one to kick a score. I will be focussing on intent and further improvement from those that are in our future plans rather than the score as I cant see how we will kick one.

I think we will be more competitive than is generally thought on here. Not really just feeding my delusion. Not going to the game today just going to watch it with some mates so we can cry in private. At least it wont be like the last time we all went to the cattery. Worst part was coming back by train after the 186 margin. Smug cat supporters with their fake sympathy.

Actually dreading having to watch this game, wish I didn't care so much so i could do something else. Worst thing is its on free to air and the only game on today so everyone will be watching the massacre

HARVEY WALLBANGER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Absent: Salem, Windsor (word is a foot rash going around), Viney, Bowey and Kentfield Train ons: Roy George, no Culley today. MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’

Demonland Trackwatchers were out in force as the Demons returned to Gosch's Paddock for preseason training on Wednesday morning. GHOSTWRITER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Kozzie a no show. Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. There’s a drill where Selwyn literally lies on top of Tracc, a trainer dribbles the ball towards them and Tracc has to g

THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
