aside from the last 4 that we have won... there is history, and there is recent history. chin up , they'll prepare accordingly for it

and that's what I'm hoping for, by mentioning it here.

If the tone we spread, is a bit cautious; hopefully that will aid the team in its quest to win again against a team on its knees atmo.

The Crows didn't turn up on this weekend gone, and that's what I'm cautioning against, for us this week. They had prepared for the game in Alice.

The game yesterday was sapping, and I hope we do not have a let down, this week.  Preparation or not.

The time is drawing nearer.  The beast will be unleashed in his first ever final in front of 90K Friday night at the MCG.  Having played just 7 games this season and struggling with for the 12 months with a frustrating foot problem,  JV might just be more angry than usual ...  if thats even possible.

Adds another layer of intrigue to an already tantalizing game.

I want Jack Viney to absolutely crack Cam Guthrie open.

Up there as one of my most hated players going around. Will never forget what he did to Neville Jetta back in 2015.

Agree completely... But what did he do to Neville Jetta back in 2015?

Ran up to Jetta from behind and bumped him to the ground. Jetta was completely blind sided and did not see it coming, was on the ground gasping for air for a good 3 minutes.. all done behind play.. Guthrie ran away like a little [censored] as if nothing happened.

The Gawn incident was the tipping point for me.

He is a piece of [censored] and dead set oxygen thief. I want him knocked out Neville Bruns fashion.

Ablett’s like.....

I reckon Ablett is a little bit softer these days avoiding the hard stuff a bit more. I’d be telling the lads to dump him at every opportunity.

Send viney straight to Selwood. Let the skippers go head to head. I’m certain in a big final jack will make his mark

The finals edition is officially underway.  He was AMAZING.

Start posting GIFS people!

What a tackle that was on Ablett. There were some absolute ripper tackles in that game: Vanders on Murdoch X2, Weid on Danger, and the best of the lot, Nev on Selwood.

So, so good.  ?

Amazing return game light from the skipper, applied great pressure and hardly looked out of place.

Jack- hay duckwood your looking a bit tired old son, here let me help, by giving you a hand.

Looks like Viney was the one who actually kicked it in the Ablett one. I’d say it should have been a free kick for HTB but I accept that it would have been impossible to tell whose foot the ball hit in real time.

Looks to me as though Ablett threw it and hit Viney’s boot.

Ump should have just said incorrect disposal and pay it. They always pay the scrubby kicks as HTB.

Liked the HS headline in one article.

DeViney Intervention.

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.

The Demons lacked some polish but showed a lot of heart and took it right up to the Bulldogs in an attempt to spoil their finals hopes ultimately going down by a goal at the MCG.
