Changes for Round 3

I just hope Brayshaw gets a starting spot, really like his pressure, disposal and unaffected psyche.

Of course you do. On Demonland, the less games you have played the more of a superstar you are. If he follows suit, by the time he reaches 50 games he will have been involved in a lot of failures and pathetic losses and be held with the same contempt that most of his 'senior' teammates are.

CaB another fine entry into the most negative post competition. You seem to excel at sucking the energy out of a thread.

Out Dawes.

Frost to backline - Howe forward

In Toumpas.

Come on Dees, we can beat Adelaide.

Kent was good in the first and so were MFC ..so he stays.

Dawes has been dropping marks since he was a Pie,its not going to change,he's big and runs around ..has to stay

JKH should never have been dropped from a slow team...he's in

Howe has promised for.... how many seasons now(?) and he's still a highlight reel when he can be bothered...OUT

One change assuming no injuries....but maybe Pederson for Frost(?)

Give them a chance and make the two's earn their spot.

You are a dead set mate..

Thought you would have learnt from round 1 when Brayshaw was very impressive first up.

Time and time again you are made to look like a silly old fool with such absurd comments.

you will be the first one to knife him in the back when he has a bad one and we lose

then you will focus on 2016 debutants and their superstar qualities, and how all our bad development is a thing of the past

less backbone than a snake you've got

Kent missed a couple of easy, set shots.....would have put us 40 odd points up.

In stronger teams, he'd get dropped for that.

Hogan did too but nobody mentions that of course

yep but MFC isnt a stronger side ...he got it six times or thereabouts up forward in the first quarter. Teaching him to kick is easier than teaching Dawes to mark I reckon

Actually I remember them as "should gets" not "easy"

How do I find the ignore button. You can take my virginity

Out, Newton, not up to it.

Cross, time has past him by, slow and kicks floaters.

Dawes, Greasy hands, not good enough.

In. Tackles McKenzie, an upgrade on whatever Cross does.

Pedersen, showed signs of life last year unlike Dawes.

Bail, an upgrade on Newton.

Fallen for the old trap recruiting fringe players from other clubs, Vince, Newton, Cross and Dawes, we outsmarted nobody as usual.

We knew that they could play and their clubs didn't, beyond belief.

Agree....hence he'll stay.

Brad Scott said that Linday Thomas would be dropped if he missed 'should gets...'

It would great to have that depth one day.....

Agree on the tackling, we nead at least another 2 or 3 tackling players in this side, don't care who goes in or out just give me 20-25 tackles per Q everything else will fall into place.

Not sure if serious...

No thats why to this day i still stick by Toumpas. I rarely knife the young kids as i wait till they atleast clock up 50 to 80 games before i can properly judge them. I see the glimpse in them and give them chances.

Its senior players like Dawes and Frawley in the past that [censored] me up the wall.

Dawes stays, we got two goals as a result of direct contests where he outmuscled his opponent. He is also needed to take Talia and at every opportunity pull him away from the forward 50

Frost for JKH to get better run

Kent is on thin ice in my book, aid many times he doesn't work hard enough when he doesn't have it (although that was the whole side for the second half)

If Vince isn't 80% he doesn't play for me, Michie or Toumpas in for him

Out:Frost & Vince if not fit

In: JKH & Michie

Brayshaw to start and Kent to the pine

I reckon Perderson and Hogan is a really dangerous forward line. Remember [Pedersen]'s game against Port? Boy...I hope he comes in...

I actually would like to see this at some stage.

you mean that bloke who was often running PAST other Demons in an effort to do SOMETHING ?? just curious

Yes BB he is the one, was full of running early but along with others he dropped off dramatically. I mean that sincerely he was feeling the pinch and on what I have seen Dean doesn't have the ability to did deep and keep going, second efforts are not high on his list. I am not just making this accusation based on Saturday alone

Said it many times he can be anything but his workrate IMO is what is holding him back

Think Talia will go straight to Hogan 'Pennant'

If Frost goes out who takes the 2nd ruck duties? can't be Dawes, he's not a ruck's .....

I don't get the Kent love from some, he has a bit too much Col about him at the moment. As well as work rate, his set shot kicking is poor and I'm not sure about his footy smarts.

THE ACCIDENTAL DEMONS by The Oracle

In the space of eight days, the Melbourne Football Club’s plans for the coming year were turned upside down by two season-ending injuries to players who were contending strongly for places in its opening round match against the GWS Giants. Shane McAdam was first player to go down with injury when he ruptured an Achilles tendon at Friday afternoon training, a week before the cut-off date for the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period (“SSP”). McAdam was beginning to get some real mom

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the
