Can't wait, first training session ever and bringing the kids. Glad the club moved the start time to 12, it would have been too hard to get the kids to the normal 9:00.

At 9am: we were having an open training at 12

At 10am: we are having an open training at 1pm with a bbq and coffee from 12

Do I demand too much suggesting no changes on the day of a members event???

At 11am: we will be having open training at 2pm with stale donuts and coffee at 1pm.

At 12pm: we will be having a closed training session at 9am with free pickings from the dumpster at AAMI Park.

At 1pm: the training session will be cancelled and any supporter attempting to gain access will be jabbed with a sharp stick.

I just got here, players aren't out yet but there's a good crowd (and a big line for the snags!).

Poor Howie is getting chased by a group of six-year-olds as he's running laps. Paying the price for being the first to show up

Only thing missing is most of the team!9

Training was actually moved to 1pm. Only tweeted through Demon Army about 11am. Not a good thing to do from the club, I know the training/conditioning etc of the players should no 1 priority but when you advertise for a family training day it's not a good look to change things like this at the last minute.

Anyway, that's my labour day winge.

We clearly have a lot of work to do in this area. Surely it can't be that hard.

Still no team. Can't even make the delayed start time! I have watched an hour of the Vince and Howe show so far.

Still only Howe and Vince here.

I can understand why some people would be frustrated - it shouldn't be too hard to advertise a time and stick to it without a late change and further delays. Hopefully players start showing up soon, or more people will start to leave.

It's not a whinge at all.

It's pathetic by the club, people have kids to organize and places to be & not everyone can check social media 100% of the time for updates, especially when the updated comes through 1 hour before the advertised time.

Lots of family's have already left without seeing a player.

Sitting here waiting for the team to turn up, can't help but think that this club really does treat it's supporters with a degree of contempt. Waiting for well over an hour now.

I've given up, my highlights: seeing the kids running along side Howe and the 2 snags I had.

Can't even get on the track for a revised start time. Nice big waste of time.

By all accounts here a shocking treatment of supporters once again from the MFC. Glad I didn't rush down in my lunch break for a half hour.

Shocking effort by the club.

While the club will say it has improved off field this is by far the biggest downfall in the way it interacts with its supporter base.

First the intra club and now this. Not good enough from a professional organization.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
