good to see some people have written off the season after 60 minutes of football. calm the fark down. seriously.. its the whizz fizz cup in the cauldron that is North Ballarat..

I'm happy with a win, nobody getting hurt, there were some good performances out there today, and there are also a few things to work on.. you doomsayers better not watch us against the Essendon thirds next week, if we don't win by 15 goals, you'll be cutting up your membership cards!!

dont worry dazzledavey and his ilk change their minds on a quarter by quarter basis, and they will do so for the whole year

thats what you get from people who are soft and stupid

I never really use to listen to some on here who use to criticize Vineys kicking but by jeez he does shank them pretty badly..

I get a good laugh when you embarrass yourself time and time again on here.

Keep it up 'Golden Tickets'

early days my friend, my concern is that his style of play does not match his physique therefore he will always be a foot soldier of sorts

You must be taking the pi$$ ? He came on at half time into the forward line where the balls hardly come down... His kicked 1 of the 2 goals kicked in the 2nd half. God help you

viney plays crash and bash unfortunately for him he isn't all that large

strongly agree. He's too small for the style he thinks he can play. He's not Todd.

what frustrates me are the holding the ball decisions where it seems the player is doing all they can to get rid of it, oh and ethan tremblay's comments

This is becuase most football supporters are nuffies who think that every tackle should be rewarded with a free kick. The AFL have caved in to their demands.

Watch this year as the player with the ball is continually punished for getting the ball.

well he was coming back from a groin injury which may explain in part his goal kicking prowess

Turning to water when protecting a lead? Can't remember that happening much in the past 7 seasons. Never had many leads to protect.

We led in the last quarter in nine games, for four wins. Roos mentions it every second press conference.

We need to get a lot better at finishing games off. Very simple point.

to all naysayers remember the Carlton team I think back in early 00's that dominated and won nab cup how they went during the season?

He's better on the run, perhaps he need to gain more momentum when he is kicking from a mark, maybe he needs to go back an extra 5 meters and gain more momentum...?

We have to remember it was his fist hit out in over 5 months, he had 22 possessions and did some good inside work.

Not being one-eyed, but we certainly weren't given much of a chance to get rid of it today..Cost us a couple of times..

Seriously, can people stop using this as an example. It's not about the result, it's how the team played. Even when Melbourne were dominating the first half I could see they were playing badly, the Bulldogs were just that much worse.

lol @ anyone criticizing Watts and Toumpas based on todays game

The mind boggles

Watts came on in the second half, and immediately had an impact. Two set shots for goal against a howling wind from 45 m out, nobody was kicking from there. In the last quarter he kicked one goal from one of the very few forward entries, I'm not sure there is more he could've done given the opportunities he had.

I've always really liked McKenzie but sadly I think his time is up with us. Matt Jones and Bail aren't far behind.

Did his time ever happen ??? Same with the other two..Shocked they are still a part of this team..

thats only one of many examples not every team that goes amazing in nab cup goes on to dominate in regular season but at the same im not saying that we are either just not looking at 1 hit out that we actually won as doom and gloom like many are

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
