If he does 'nominate' Collingwood (I'm another who's sick to death of players doing this) then Kennedy and a 2016 second rounder would excite me more than a 2015 third rounder. It would be added incentive to barrack against them too.

Stevens, Ralph and Ox have reported Howe preference to Collingwood but nothing else as yet. I guess we just sit and wait (and [censored]) about him until he says something publicly.

I hope we tell Collingwood that we're not interested in fringe players and late picks for Howe. We want someone who walks into our starting 18.

The one I'd be asking for is Brayden Maynard. 186cm, 88kg, penetrating left foot half back flanker. Pick 30 last year. Walks into Howe's spot.

Went to Haileybury with Brayshaw and I see the old man even played a few games for Melbourne.

They could afford to let a back flanker go with Marley Williams and Tom Langdon back there, so if they are serious about Howe he's the one I'd be asking for.

Take Kennedy out of the deal completely. Go for their first pick next year. They will back themselves for it to be late teens. If not we win.

Exactly, keep the deals entirely separate. A fringe player and some crappy pick DOES NOT equal one highly marketable Jeremy Howe. It's like claiming 6 third round picks is the equivalent of 1 first rounder.

Whatever we get for Toumpas is fair value for Kennedy, something in the late second round.

We better trade for what's best for the club. [censored] who he nominates...he can wait until his a FA if he wants that priveledge

We need to play hard ball, we are too easy to knock over during trading. Play hard to get then if he doesn't get there in time he will go into the draft and possibly to a different club

If Howe goes to Collingwood then we have nothing GC want for pick 3

Exactly

I think if we traded him to Collingwood it really wouldn't benefit us at all, a straight swap for Kennedy and possibly a 3rd rounder, whilst GC are willing to give up pick 3 plus a second rounder for Howe and pick 6, would really benefit us a lot more. Than possibly the 3 way deal of

Toump to Port

Moore to Dons

Melksham to Dees

Would be ideal imo

Ch 7 reported after speaking to Melbourne IF he chooses Collingwood it will take alot more than a straight swap for Kennedy. It inferred we have a deal agreed in principle with Suns if he chooses there.

Good!

@Stevo7AFL Tweets:

If Howe wants to go to Pies, deal won't be easy ... Dees more content with potential deal with Suns, which would land them pick 3

Kennedy won't be enough to satisfy Dees. Pies will have to come up with significantly more if Bucks and Howe Bali meeting ends in marriage

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
