Less than a month to go before the opening of our NAB Challenge campaign and no doubt the training sessions will step up a gear from here.

I'm assuming there's the usual 9.15am session on tomorrow at Gosh's Paddock and look forward to reports from those who can make it down there.

While robust debate is important on Demonland, some posters are acting under the assumption that they have license to engage in personal attacks on those with whose opinions they disagree.

Please remain respectful of other posters and be careful if you wish to keep posting here.

Thanks.

Hope it's on as it looked like they were out there training at about 12:00 today as I went driving by. If it is, I'll be down there tomorrow for the first time this pre season.

Thanks Jack, I was a bit upset about the Friday thread being locked, I wanted to say I had a conversation with TDI while I was there and we spoke about his 6 or 7 wins comment.

If you look at the ready made/ experienced players we know come into the 22 (Lamumba and Garlett) replacing Frawley (a small win) and I'm not quite sure who Garlett is an upgrade on but for the sake of the argument we will say Blease (big upgrade). TDI's prediction of 2 or 3 more wins for the year makes perfect sense. We hear all teams players improve a bit every year, the trick is to get more improvement than our opponents. TDI is someone who attends lots of training sessions and can see we have improved but he doesn't have other teams to measure the improvement against. We can all see that we will be a better team with H and Garlett in the 22.

What I put to TDI was we don't know what effect the Paleo diet will have on our ability to run out games and we don't know what will happen if we actually got on a bit of a roll at the start of the season, belief is a wonderful thing. To me, when I Iook at us having more Improvement than our opposition, it is the space between the ears of the players that I'm most hopeful about. I don't care if the Paleo has a placebo effect and the insight that TDI gets by talking to the players has me very optimistic.

I was also upset I didn't get the opportunity to refer FITB to my new footer.

Thanks WJ, I will be there tomorrow, but I am afraid there will be no further postings from me, whatever I glean from the players from now on will be kept to myself, or those I chat to, to everybody who follows me on Twitter, I will still be posting the pictures

This should solve the problem for the mods, nobody needs the garbage that occurs, hopefully a few others will attend and give a run down on what happened,

I've also got some time off this week and was planning to head down to another session or two. What's the go with location, are we still purely at Gosch's? When was/is the sessions moving to Casey? Also a closed session can't really mean all too much when at a publicly open space like Gosch's, right?

TDI, This is my 10th year of being on this site. I just noted I have ticked over a month without a post which, for those that remember back when, a day without a post would have been unheard of. I don't even check in daily anymore and one of the only reasons I continue is to read your training updates. They provide great insight for those that can't attend rather than the cookie cutter interviews and pieces offered over the summer on the official site. I take from them what I choose and move on from the bits I don't care for. I don't agree with all you post but I don't expect to and take it as your insight or opinion borne of the same enthusiasm or insanity that we mainly all share for the MFC. It's sad that others can't do the same as the site will be lesser without your input. All the best. Go Dee's. BRFE.

Don't pay any attention to the crap posted by some on this site.

As a country member I (and I'm sure many others) greatly enjoy your reports and look forward to them.

So keep posting and trust the mods to keep the discussion on track!

He is just as much to blame as anyone else.

However I'm looking forward to hearing from the others who will be able to make it down and provide a straight up report. It's always appreciated.

Oh ffs TDI don't be a child and sulk off. Keep standing up for yourself and your thoughts comments regarding players/training, it's a forum. F the naysayers.

It is a microcosm of our wonderfully strange society, chin up and keep on charging.

Hmmmm... so much for new training threads remaining on topic.

Should we just close the thread now then?

Saty don't let the idiots on here wreck your reports for the rest of us. Living interstate I can't make any training sessions and rarely make games, any sort of report is great reading.

I think this thread has already become far too Saty-centric.

Are some of us worried that no one else can provide a decent training report?

No offence, but he doesn't have the market cornered (maybe not for lack of trying...)

Any reports of how Frost is going?

Hoping to see him line up for round 1, but reports don't have me confident.

It will be a pity if TDI ceases to post. He has been willing, honest and light hearted in his reports.

He has been balanced in his support yet concedes he believes OUR TEAM will win only 6-7 wins.

Its a pity we lose his reports and I hope he comes back, guns a blazin'.

The lunatics have taken over the asylum.

I'm at a loss as to why he has drawn so much criticism as compared to other training reporters.

A lot of posters including myself don't come on here just to read Satys training report. Lets not start dedicating these training threads to Saty only. The likes of Ruffles and six are just as far more value and down to detail with their reports and Photos..

Just saying.
