Right...

So that's his opinion... and mine is that he must be a pretty sad individual.

Where's the confusion?

Thanks for the scoop Kurt! It's great when the inside info comes through!

McCartney is a great pick up by the dees. Comes from a lot of successful clubs and cultures and is held in very high regard by the Geelong boys. We are assembling a very good coaching and development line-up!

You still have said how many games you have watched McCartin play.

You can have a go at McCartin but I can't have a go at McCartney pot\kettle I say.

I probably just dismissed your request, because your posts offer me nothing of worth.

But since you've asked twice... I think 4 or 5 times probably.

I've watched the champs games at Simonds both this year and last, then watched a few falcons games along the way.

Not sure how many he played in, because I wasn't watching specifically for him.

I've liked his aggression, but I'd have expected a lot more from him if we're going to draft him top 3.

Happy?

Did some Research and found this disgusting vile comment from bjgc back in 2009 on a Jake Spencer thread.

Can the footy gods please break the Russian's football foot. We need Spencer in the side immediately he was awesome yesterday along with Grimes. Wouldn't mind seeing the pathetic Sylvia's OP come back so we can bring in a kid that will actually have a go in Valenti.
Wishing someone an injury is one of the most disgraceful, pathetic, disgusting thing on a football forum let alone on our own players. The ones that have battled it for most of their career.
Again stay classy WD

That's bad. I apologise for that it was a mistake.

I shouldn't have made those getting injured comments no matter how much I get frustrated at their performances

Nah just revisit it if we finish as high as 12th like they done regarding Bailey.

How the F did we need Spencer in the side over Jamar in 2009.

It's 2014 and Spencer played a game injured to get through just so we could not rush and then get Jamar back!

I like the Spence. But 2013 was the first time he played well and overall he's played about 5 decent games in his career.

Oh and we didn't need Sylvia getting OP as well. How would we have flogged him to Freo?

Personally I'd be happy to see both Jamar and Spencer disapear. Like one good game followed by a dozen ho hum games followed by another dozen out injured. Then the cycle repeats.

Quote from this article

No wonder James Hird said this of McCartney this year: ''I can't imagine there's a better coach in Australia in the way he develops players and teaches them to play football. I'm surprised someone like that hasn't had a chance at senior level because, in my time in footy, I don't think I've met a better coach.''

I wonder if jimmy had just taken a dose of some "good stuff" when he made that quote?

WERRIDEE who would you prefer to be appointed?

That's a hard one, preferably someone not recycled. Somebody that could be moulded into a Roos proto type. I think it would be hard for anyone who has coached for 16 years to change his philosophies and follow Roos's strict game plan. The Bulldogs, Geelong and Essendon don't play anything like Melbourne.

Would that be so you could [censored] about our amateurish Board appointing someone inexperienced, should it not turn out 100% successful?

    THE HUNTER by The Oracle

Something struck me as I sat on the couch watching the tragedy of North Melbourne’s attempt to beat Collingwood unfold on Sunday afternoon at the MCG.    It was three quarter time, the scoreboard had the Pies on 12.7.79, a respectable 63.16% in terms of goal kicking ratio. Meanwhile, the Roos’ 18.2.110 was off the charts at 90.00% shooting accuracy. I was thinking at the same time of Melbourne’s final score only six days before, a woeful 6.15.51 or 28.57% against Collingwood’s 14.5.89

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

    TURNAROUND by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons won their first game at home this year in the traditional King’s Birthday Weekend clash with Collingwood VFL on Sunday in a dramatic turnaround on recent form that breathed new life into the beleaguered club’s season. The Demons led from the start to record a 52-point victory. It was their highest score and biggest winning margin by far for the 2024 season. Under cloudy but calm conditions for Casey Fields, the home side, wearing the old Springvale guernsey as a mark of res

    POSTGAME: Rd 13 vs Collingwood

Once again inaccuracy and inefficiency going inside 50 rears it's ugly head as the Demons suffered their second loss on the trot and their fourth loss in five games as they go down to the Pies by 38 points on Kings Birthday at the MCG.

    GAMEDAY: Rd 13 vs Collingwood

It's Game Day and the Demons are once again faced with a classic 8 point game against a traditional rival on King's Birthday at the MCG. A famous victory will see them reclaim a place in the Top 8 whereas a loss will be another blow for their finals credentials.

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag
