Potential Trades [Warning: Reading this thread may self-destruct]

Are you after realistic ones or absolutely silly ones like Dangerfield, Sloane and Tex Walker for Pick 2, Pick 3 and Jimmy Toumpas?

Can we just throw in Toumpas into every trade?? Maybe if we just keep pushing him out there with some massive talk behind him we may get something for nothing... I think we need to get a used car salesman to write up his bio though in order for him to look appealing:

FOR TRADE

1994 European Model Demon

Low KMS

Boots hardly used

2 brand new hips

Neck hardly ever used

Would be a fantastic player for a first year recruiter looking for an outside outside outside player.

Will partner with early round draft pick if needed.

No NABRS certificate

$SLOAN OBO

Potential Trades ey...

Just my thoughts on a (IMO) beneficial and achievable trade that I would love to happen.

Pick 3 to Sydney in return for Mitchell, Reid and a whole lot of Salary cap relief!

Didn't Robinson contemptuously state that we were 'bruise free'? Would he want to play with 'pansies'?

I wonder what those who claim that we wouldn't want Lumumba because he is a '[censored]' would think of getting Robinson?

When you talk of [censored] there are [censored] and then there's Robinson!

I have paid money to watch pansies for a decade.

I'll have Robinson over 90% of the try-hards that have put on the jumper.

At least with him there is unequivocal commitment to the pill or the man with the ball.

Pick 3 for the human meat ball from GCS would be a great get. His family supply fruit to the MFC and are a mad demon family

Jason Tutt from the doggies being linked to us via SEN.

From Canberra, wonder if Roosy has a history with him?

sorry TGR, anyone who bolts away after his mate falls to the footpath unconscious, & leaves him to the idiots, isn't the type we want as a MFC go-hard player.

OK with that; but I don't think Prestia's outa contract, or looking to return atmo.

what about watts for Aaron Hall ?

Blease gets several mentions above. FMD. We are bottom of the dung heap and he can't get a game with us - do not imagine we will be inundated by trade offers. OOh sorry Dangerfield for Blease is a big chance.

have you heard about that Chitt kid Bbo? is he any good.. bit wary of the name though, another Jack for the record. ;)

It lcould be a bit of a Michie jobbo, so I have no opinion of him.

Plays on the wing I think, but know very little about him. Struggling to get a game in a doggies midfield.

Tweet from TAC Cup commentator Paige Cardona saying "Hearing murmurs that Jimmy Toumpas could be on the move back to South Australia 'for the right price'".

And then watch him carve out a career like Scott Thompson.

I swear Mark Neeld is back.

Would be disappointed to see the Toump go. He's got the right attitude and all the right attributes, just hasn't come together for him yet. Plus he's so damn likable. Would be like sacking Michael Palin.

Cameron Guthrie from Geelong is a bloke Id have, Would love him in the red and blue

Varcoe and Stokes were again putrid in a "Pressure cooker Final" and I reckon Geelong will be savage in the aftermath of this loss! Not that I'd have any of the later!

Disappointed / Sad ?whatever The bloke is slowwwwww and should never have been picked up!

If he can't play attitude won't fix it!

Likeable?? Don't give a stuff about that either. Give me some mongrel like Mitch Robinson

Toumpas in no way should be written off. At the beginning of the year it was said it would be a development year for him. Good clubs give their recruits time. Not often do you get a Wines who impacts immediately.

Hope we stick with him.

Liked Tutt in his draft year, a small rebounding defender/winger. Outside player with a very good kick, but probably hasn't come on at AFL level. Don't know if he'll make it. Sounds like we're considering every option available. Will be interesting to see how many of these player's we're linked to eventually land at Melbourne.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
