WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - HERITIER LUMUMBA

I was being facetious!! Nonetheless, Collingwood will accept the highest bid so the manager has a keen interest in getting a higher trade position.

BTW...his manager is Ben Niall not Paul Connors.

Yup correct, my apologies! :)

TBH I was actually thinking I posted this in relation to Beams, not Lumumba, not sure why though

Finally get a player to nominate us as his preferred destination. Shame it's not the player any of us want.

#melbournelyf

we're just not used to other club's players saying those words " I want to play for Melbourne".. Bit early for Halloween really

So the Collingwood rumours are true...For him to nominate us, he really is a weird individual then :)

I can't hate anyone who actually wants to play for us after the [censored] some players pull on us to get out.

Welcome aboard I guess. Learn to relax a bit and think a bit before you throw it onto your boot.

Go team. #melbournelyf

I don't have anything against getting him, but you'll excuse me if I'm not jumping out of my skin with excitement.

We need stars, and midfielders, or midfield stars more specifically. Lumumba fits none of those categories, but of course I want him to be successful at our club.

Not necessarily, the Age article says he nominated us because we offered more $$. Sadly, seems to be the only way we can get 'wanted' players to come to us.

Terrible post. Here we are, a club on our knees, and we have an All Australian, premiership player nominate us over a preliminary finalist as his destination of choice. Meanwhile, players of incredibly low character like Clark are manipulating the system to leave us in the pile of [censored] we're in.

Welcome Heretier. He's prepared to play for our colors and I'll back him every step of the way. Not to mention what an actual coach like Roos will be able to transform him into.

We need a lot of things and that includes more good AFL standard players, we have the worst depth of talent in the AFL.

Wouldn't sneeze at a 27 year old All Australian premiesrhip player

I'd be rapt to get him. Perhaps the upside of someone with a strong moral code is that he can see the righteousness of Roos and where we are going. Oh and the fact 'the Demons were believed to have offered superior financial terms.'

But seriously, a vote of confidence and he is a good player who can carry the ball forward. As if we are in a position to knock that.
Will be the only player in the side who has been selected in an AA team. Durable too.

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last
