BBO - I definitely need therapy regarding this - I tend to hold onto things. My husband also wanted to see Collingwood play that night and if memory serves me correct, they lost as well.

Yes ...err .. I don't think I can go any further with this Jane. The late and lamented Lordweaver provided therapy for some of the sickos on this board (notably Biffen and I believe daisycutter). It was of a rather drastic ( some would say deviant) nature. Best you seek your own confessional.

BTW. Do you scuba dive in latex?

You see a loss of 10+ goals as a sign of improvement because it means you lost by a smaller margin than the last time you faced the same team.

Good Lord, you get straight to the point Maple. BTW haven't heard from you in a while. Well in fact, now that I'm seriously pumping iron, I do most things in latex.

Even tending to the alpacas?

Btw, I have absent for a while as I was involved in an ambassadorial role with foreign visitors and didn't want to subject them to the pain of watching the Dees while they were here.

20. A large part of the 'G will always be known as 'The Outer'.

*Apologies if this has already be said, I didn't read the whole thread.

22. You suggest to the club that a fabulous marketing idea is to introduce a 22 home and away half game membership - (you only get to watch games up to half time which is about all most of us can stomach anyway)

That's a magic idea nutbean. It's not just thinking outside the box...it's thinking outside the corporate box!!! This could catch on.

When someone makes a joke about going to Mr Buller, you reply with "Don't be silly, I don't go to Mt Buller, we all know the snow is terrible, I head overseas instead..."

This is true, skiing in Japan is now all the rage and when the worm turns (MFC becomes watchable) it's going to be a fantastic boost for late-season crowd attendances.

Your favourite time of the year is pre -season when you can stupidly build your hope back up again before the "what the he'll was I thinking" kicks in about 10 minutes into round 1.

Absolutely correct. We demon supporters have been doing this "groundhog day" shite for about 10 years. And happily continue.

You start going to more Scorps games than Dees games just so you can see who might be up and coming among the newer recruits.

Then you find out that the Scorps are as bad as the Dees, if not worse.

(both true)

When a 23yo DHS worker turns up on your daughter's doorstep with the information that if they continue to bring their children up as Demons supporters it will be viewed as psychological abuse and the kids will be repossessed for the welfare of the children

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
