so basically we'll end up with either Petracca or Brayshaw?
I see that as a win, win really.

very good post ?

Thanks for putting that up Go the Biff, it is the best interview that I have heard from CP5, I feel like I know and respect the young man even more. I remember when he came on the scene that the older guy,s said that he was thr most irritating person on the team. I like his view that you need to embrace all types of personalities and love them for their differences. I am an old guy but I found him very Cool.!!! Dylan Buckley also VG interviewer.

Christian is a breath of fresh air at Melbourne and his 2020 season was a sign of maturity  he can only get better and l say that with confidence.

Great watch the Trac speaks well it is a good sign for 2021 and beyond.

He was awesome this season, but in 2021 I am expecting nothing less than the greatest individual season ever by a Melbourne player.

It is going to be spectacular!

Interesting Truck rates Trengove so highly. I think we were robbed there like we're with the ox.

Be careful P2J you will have all the doomsayers on your back saying they are sick of predictions as we are always let down.

I am preferring to be bullish about our list and recruits of last year and BBB plus Locky etc improving us also the Ooze effect.

It's a fair chance as all our guns pretty well gave us good to great 2020 and look to be A or B graders of solid and consistent style.

Keep pick 2 for Petracca... he is ready to go plus has superstar qualities

Absolutely grateful that Christian Petracca came to the Dees.

He has shown the superstar qualities both ON and OFF the field.

A great footballer and a fantastic respectful young man. He shows his values on the field and through interaction with teammates and in interviews.

It was huge that we chose him to be a Demon.

Doesn't get enough love.

Immense.

Shoulda picked McCartin

0 humility in that post.

Petracca is starting to realize if he takes the game on no one can stop him. It takes 2-3 players. Lucky we have Oliver and Petracca, and they appear to be improving players. Both are trending upwards as they realize their immense talent.

We all knew he was special.

But a lot of high draft picks for mfc have failed to be as good as expected.

Trac has gone to the next level we thought he could.

Petracca is the closest player to the great Ronald Dale Barassi Jr who was my favorite player from the first time I saw him play in 1953 till he retired from the MFC in 1964.

Petracca is his clone and both being of Italian heritage.

I am not Italian by the way.

I loved hearing from his parents on the channel seven broadcast where they said he’s a really quick thinker to the point that almost he doesn’t even know what he’s doing next, so what hope do the opposition have?!

This will sound ridiculous but I still think he hasn’t reached his peak power yet.

Of course, it’s not the backline, you might argue and you would probably be right. It’s the boot studder (do they still have them?), the midfield, the recruiting staff, the forward line, the kicking coach, the Board, the interchange bench, the supporters, the folk at Casey, the head coach and the club psychologist  It’s all of them and all of us for having expectations that were sufficiently high to have believed three weeks ago that a restoration of the Melbourne team to a position where we might still be in contention for a finals berth when the time for the midseason bye arrived. Now let’s look at what happened over the period of time since Melbourne overwhelmed the Sydney Swans at the MCG in late May when it kicked 8.2 to 5.3 in the final quarter (and that was after scoring 3.8 to two straight goals in the second term).

  • CASEY: Essendon

Casey’s unbeaten run was extended for at least another fortnight after the Demons overran a persistent Essendon line up by 29 points at ETU Stadium in Port Melbourne last night. After conceding the first goal of the evening, Casey went on a scoring spree from about ten minutes in, with five unanswered majors with its fleet of midsized runners headed by the much improved Paddy Cross who kicked two in quick succession and livewire Ricky Mentha who also kicked an early goal. Leading the charge was recruit of the year, Riley Bonner while Bailey Laurie continued his impressive vein of form. With Tom Campbell missing from the lineup, Will Verrall stepped up to the plate demonstrating his improvement under the veteran ruckman’s tutelage. The Demons were looking comfortable for much of the second quarter and held a 25-point lead until the Bombers struck back with two goals in the shadows of half time. On the other side of the main break their revival continued with first three goals of the half. Harry Sharp, who had been quiet scrambled in the Demons’ first score of the third term to bring the margin back to a single point at the 17 minute mark and the game became an arm-wrestle for the remainder of the quarter and into the final moments of the last.
