Round 20, 1991.

Mark Brayshaw played full back on Allen Jakovich for a lot of the day.

That's all you need to know.

Jakovich kicked 4 in the first quarter on MIckey Martyn and 5 or 6 on Martyn in total - the ball was coming in very well via Stynes, Clark, Stretch, Dyson Obs etc. Jako gets reported for mouthing off to the ump.

One thing that is noticeable is that Mark was a pretty good kick passing from full back kick ins.

Don't mind that Chaser for one so young, will limit him getting caught if he can get first hands on the ball and whilst could end up going straight back over his head with a turnover could also result in giving us some forward ascendancy.

Think with more exposure to the game at AFL level more composure will come. Who knows time will tell

Absolutely, just an area of his game to work on, that's all.

He definitely strikes me as someone who will work extremely hard at improving his game, so think he will get better in this area.

A recent article (admittedly in the Hun, and also call Jake Lever 'Jay') states that Brayshaw has improved his 20m pace from a 3.15 sec to 2.81 sec.

I'm sceptical of those numbers, but it's still and indication of improvement. It also talks about his need to improve his endurance.

    With Casey Fields basking in sunshine, an enthusiastic throng of young Demons fans formed a guard of honour for the evergreen and much admired 75-gamer Paxy Paxman. As the home team ran out to play, Paxy’s banner promised that the Demons would bounce back from last week’s loss to Brisbane and reign supreme.   Disappointingly, the Kangaroos dominated the match to win by 50 points, but our Paxy certainly did her bit.  She was clearly our best player, sweeping well in defence.

    The 40,000 seat $319 million redeveloped Kardinia Park Stadium was nowhere near capacity last night but the strong, noisy contingent of Melbourne supporters led by the DeeArmy journeyed to Geelong to witness a high-quality battle between two of the best teams in AFLW.   The Cats entered the arena to the blasting sounds of Zombie Nation and made a hot start kicking the first 2 goals.     The Mighty Demons take on the confident Cats this Saturday night at the recently completed $319 million redeveloped GMHBA Stadium, with the bounce of the ball at 7:15pm.
