Jesus Christ! You'd think with how negative most of these are that we'd been belted by 100 points!

We actually LOST the game ourselves, they didn't win it. I know a loss sucks, but we weren't that bad by a long shot.

Like the team Joeboy you will put in a shocker now and again, this is one of them

I certainly have no qualms about being disagreed with , but I'd love you to forward your own 3 WORD analysis of the performances, just so I can understand where I went so 'shockingly' wrong

If JKH is bordering on exciting then Byrnes is about as exciting as watching your grandma play bingo

JKH=not sure hes quick enough considering his size.but great skills no doubt.

My thoughts are that whilst he may not be overly fast on his feet, he is incredibly quick in his head for one so young. Exciting.

I think JKHs's main attribute is balance, poise and clean hands and that more than compensates for any perceived lack of speed. In fact it may make him more durable - the real roadrunners seem to be dogged by pinged hamstrings.

Did anyone see his acting on Neighbours? If he plays footy half as good as he acts, we are in for a treat.

totally agree with this one, especially about Howey marking the ball, he should not punch unless absolutely necessary, he can outmark anybody.

Howe- 5 minute performance.

That is a joke. The whole night he took solid marks and spoils.

Not to mention is handball to Matt Jones in the last quarter almost set up a match winning goal.

That handball was absolutely sublime. 25 metres, and put it WAY out in front so that Jones could run onto it, at full speed, without breaking stride. That was a handball even Sam Mitchell would have been proud of. If Jones had kicked it and we'd won, we'd have been watching highlights of that on Youtube for decades.

He was so good that the English Football team wanted to get him in to play right wing, thinking the same as you!

(I heard from a mate's mate's mum, anyway)

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k

OVER YET? by KC from Casey

The Friday evening rush hour clash of two of the VFL’s 2024 minnows, Carlton and the Casey Demons was excruciatingly painful to watch, even if it was for the most part a close encounter. I suppose that since the game had to produce a result (a tie would have done the game some justice), the four points that went to Casey with the win, were fully justified because they went to the best team. In that respect, my opinion is based on the fact that the Blues were a lopsided combination that had

    CENTIMETRES by Whispering Jack

Our game is one where the result is often decided by centimetres; the touch of a fingernail, a split-second decision made by a player or official, the angle of vision or the random movement of an oblong ball in flight or in its bounce and trajectory. There is one habit that Melbourne seems to have developed of late in its games against Carlton which is that the Demons keep finding themselves on the wrong end of the stick in terms of the fine line in close games at times when centimetres mak

    MELBOURNE BUSINESS by The Oracle

In days of old, this week’s Thursday night AFL match up between the Demons and the Blues would be framed on the basis of the need to redress the fact that Carlton “stole” last year’s semi final away from Melbourne and with it, their hopes for the premiership.  A hot gospelling coach might point out to his charges that they were the better team on the night in all facets and that poor kicking for goal and a couple of lapses at the death cost them what was rightfully theirs. Moreover, now was
