Took an old friend out for lunch on Sunday

Had a very lovely time on a beautiful Sunday afternoon...Great conversation ...a few drinks....Solved the worlds problems....She is a very funny lady...

Not once did I think who was winning the footy or really care.

Checked the scores when I got home but didn't really care

There are a lot more things to do on a lazy Sunday than stress over footy these days.

Could not agree more Bossdog

Change took an old friend out for lunch with went to windy hill and the rest is the same.

Took my radio and never turned it on.

As I was leaving the ground I heard someone say Dees lost which was hardly a surprise and did not check the game reports till Monday afternoon.

Sad but a sane way to spend ones weekends

It feels good to switch off from it.

I was at my sons under thirteens footy game sunday, they won by eighty points and he kicked a goal and was named in the best players.

Didnt even think of the game against GWS till we got home, and the result didnt worry us too much because we had a great day together.

Much more enjoyable than AFL

Gone are the days when i rely on the dees to provide any sort of happiness, if it comes eventually , then well and good , i will enjoy it.

Is he free this Saturday afternoon? I know a team that needs a player who knows how to win.

I have to go on Saturday afternoon to a reunion of all my girlfriends relatives and extended family.

I never thought you'd ever hear these words uttered from my mouth - I am looking forward to it because it is a legitimate excuse not to go see us play.

edit - on reflection, we can still stink it up a lot more before the reunion will be more appealing.

Almost exactly what I am doing nutbean.

We were invited last week to a function at short notice, my wife asked are you going to the footy?

I did not need to answer my look said it all

I coach my local u14 side which both of my sons play in. We won 122 to nil last Sat.

My eldest boy is a good chance of at least training with the Falcons u15s next year depending on his attitude. My interest in footy has change and my love of the game is different.

The dees are the ex girlfriend that I gave my heart to only to have it walked all over. I can't help but take an interest in her but the sight of her cuts deep.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
