I was a bit older Bossdog and after we had towelled them up in the 2nd Semi I could not believe it.

Did any of you that attended also attend the R17 game at Glenferrie that year that saw Hassa Mann snap a goal to put is into the finals? I've recently received timecoded vision of the last few minutes of that game, nothing to write home about but it's good to see some of those guys especially Barassi and Mann who were only really names and pictures on a page come to life. The quality is pretty decent and it includes Hassa's goal to put us in front. When I have the time and can figure out how I'll upload to youtube and link it here for you.

I was there that day with my brother, Carlton supporter, and I thought we would bolt in, we had a really strong wind blowing our way in the last and I thought it was a matter of time, Hawthorn were only about 9 points in front if i remember correctly. I started to get a little concerned and was nearly having a heart attack by the time Hassa kicked the winning goal.

I was 15, spent the afternoon at a friends place who wasn't interested in football, late in the afternoon heard the result on the radio. Watched all the footy show that night in high excitement. They live in Northcote and Castlemaine these days but I am guessing he is discussing some some of water works.
