Exactly. No mention of injury on MFC website.

Why would they tell us they just let us hear off that ass wipe with a smirk on his face, why bother telling the paid up members.

At this rate Georgiou will play more career games for the MFC then Hogan Clark and Dawes combined.

I just love that this came from Barrett. Yet again our club is too spineless to properly report injuries

Not a chance he's returns in a month either. This will be a much longer recovery than that.

Yeah it makes you wonder if much has changed personally I would be surprised if it has and letting supporters find that out by a [censored] that we all despise is really disappointing but should be expected.

And Jack Watts will lay more career tackles for the MFC then Hogan Clark and Dawes combined.

Where's Satyriconhome to put some context and truth around this?

What if there's nothing to report?

Would you prefer they announce today that he is having scans and may have back stress fractures, only to say tomorrow that they jumped the gun and it is only bruising..?

(Besides the obvious result being different).

Some people just don't think.

Settle down people this is players body we are talking about. He has to get a scan and in to see a specialist before a proper prognosis is made. Even then some times you can't make any comment until a repeat appointment or scan once inflammation has settled.

The media can just report whatever they like about 'some kind of stress fracture' and 'some swelling'. The club has to think of the player not just fans. Also they can't create mass hysteria every time a player has some soreness.

Geelong have been a completely closed shop under Neil Balme and it hasn't stopped them winning games.

Hope your right what time did training finish today would they even know the results yet?

So Saty chatted to Hogan after training and he was actually getting a massage from Mark Neeld and Chris Connolly because they are great blokes when Cam Schwab walked in and tripped over Liam Jurrah who was just siting down after doing some training for his comeback to AFL. Schwab trying to get his balance dropped the projector he was carrying to film whiteboard wednesday that landed on Hogan's back and caused him some pain. Dr Bates is going to arrange for Steve Dank to supply some AOD cream and he should be right for round 1. It's all in the past and no one is to blame so we should move on.

I don't know how AFL clubs work and presume they get a lot of priority access and things but it's not unreasonable to think:

- Hogan pulls up not too sore after the game

- Gets a bit sore Monday. Doc and Physio think it's just a knock in the back and will settle.

- Things aren't better on Thursday so they send him in for a scan but still name him not expecting much. Scan results get back later in the day (and leaked to Barrett).

- Specialist appointment booked in either late Thursday or Friday and only then can the club really comment with any surety.

I'd rather work out how it's leaked to Barrett. Could be as simple as Hogan telling a friend who spreads it to media or could be someone in the clubs a bit leaky.

You have no idea whether he is really injured. If he is really injured, you have no idea of the severity of the injury. MFCSS!!

    TRAINING: Wednesday 19th February 2025

Demonlander The Analyser was the sole Trackwatcher out at Casey Fields today to bring you the following observations from this mornings preseason training session. Training  was at Casey today. It consisted of a match simulation for one half  and then a free choice activity time. Activities included kicking for goal,  aerial , contest work etc. I noticed the following players not in match simulation Jack Viney  running laps and looks fine for round one . I think Kolt looks like he’s im

    TRAINING: Wednesday 12th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the scorching morning heat to bring you the following observations of Wednesday's preseason training session from Gosch's Paddock. HARVEY WALLBANGER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Absent: Salem, Windsor (word is a foot rash going around), Viney, Bowey and Kentfield Train ons: Roy George, no Culley today. Firstly the bad news - McVee went down late, which does look like a bad hammy - towards the end of match sim, as he kicked the ball. Had to

MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’

    TRAINING: Wednesday 5th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatchers were out in force as the Demons returned to Gosch's Paddock for preseason training on Wednesday morning. GHOSTWRITER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Kozzie a no show. Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. There’s a drill where Selwyn literally lies on top of Tracc, a trainer dribbles the ball towards them and Tracc has to g

THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
