A bit glib and simplistic Rhino. The press push this notion of freedom to make sales - honesty in reporting seems to me to run a distant second.

try dead last...... just ahead of the retraction occasionally

Its been very successful in North Korea, China and many of the Middle East's *cough* people's republics.

Nothing more simplistic than a wide generalisation.

Note: Do accept Murdoch's rags brings the notion in a significant disrepute.

So true BBO. News Ltd runs a plethora of agendas at any one time plus the odd wire tap.

Not denying that Beezlebub. I just think Rupert is a little more relentless.

It's curious though. The Age has gone to [censored]. The Sun always was [censored]. Yet some of the best op ed stuff and opinion articles are to be found in The Australian.

you given up reading the redflag?

So if it's in the fairfax papers we can accept it as fact; is that what you're saying?

The Age has a declining readership and they are desperately hanging on to those that they have.

I doubt they will last any more than a few more years, if that.

Even Premier Geoff Shaw calls it The Herald Scum.

Rupert has done for quality journalism what Pol Pot did for nation building.

I guess what I'm saying Andy Bolt, is that you may wish to read the comment that I made proceeding the initial post. And then Andy, but only then, can you make a Herald Sun like retraction buried in the classifieds.

What an idiotic comment to make.

Fact is I don't read the HUN and haven't for years but I bet you do.

Ah, check mate to you again Robbie F. I guess it was your strident attack on Fairfax when I mentioned News Ltd that lead to me to the conclusion that you were a right wing nutter. I see now that you are not right wing.

That's true of every newspaper in the world these days.

The Fairfax papers are for the leftwing loonies so I guess you don't read them, do you? I'm sure that any fair minded Labor supporter would abhor the way the Fairfax Papers have degenerated in to irrelevance.

Why would someone that supports the right be a nutter? Is it because they have a different view to you?

What gets me about this is that Essendon has so far managed its playing group well in the circumstances. Despite seemingly being treated with utter contempt by their clubs on terms of the apparent concealment of the drugs they were injected with, there's been no player revolt and they seem to be unified and focussed on succeeding.

It's going to be interesting to see what happens to team morale when the infraction notices start issuing.

Robbie, I'm trying to meet your misplaced anger with good humor. Perhaps reread the posts and I think it's fair to say that you have jumped the gun....as you gun toting, inbred, Menzies loving types are oft to do. I accept your apology. Say no more.

Whispering, I just don't think those infraction notices are coming.

The sun will rise in the east tomorrow just as the infraction notices will come one day soon. They are unstoppable.

I wish I had your optimism Whisper. It is a long time after the event. Why the confidence?

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
