Bombers scandal: charged, <redacted> and <infracted>

He was on 3AW earlier

And I bet you cannot predict his tack?

Yep carping defence of Hird etc.

Oh well some things in life are predictable.

Old Dee.

If i remember rightly your daughter chose not to follow the dee's like her old man - she follows the bombers?

Pass on our regards!

Serves the Verucas right. Couldn't handle a year or two of no finals.

Wow

Like the MFC tanking claim

I wpould like to see a presumption of innocence and evidence supporting claims to be fully and transparently made to allow the innocence to be detailed.

I would not want to discredit all players allthe club and all supporters with an unfounded unsupported claim.

I would also like to see the claim and the response hanled in a quick time so that innocence or guilt can be pronounced and the club etc can get on with normal operations.

Yeah, cos all of that is exactly what we got....

Puh-lease.

Correct mate

She is out tonight Mrs OD is baby sitting

But she has been very nice re the tanking so I will reciprocate.

Just saw channel 7s report on the bombers in the 6 o'clock bulletin. Came across like reimers has made a claim, and the bombers are nipping it in the bud before it gets any momentum. Knowing that reimers is basically white trash it'll be interesting to see if the bombers really have any case to answer.

I spent 2 hours listening to 3AW tonight DemonWA

From what they said the press has been chasing the bombers about this story for a few weeks.

As late as the weekend they were threatening journalists with legal action.

Seems Evans came home for OS on sunday and it has taken off from when he went into the EFC on Monday.

"On the bomber boards someone has said it is SARMS they were using. If so, this is really bad [censored]. Looking through what it does and how it works, I would put it in the massively high risk category for long-term impact on your health and probably some forms of cancer. I really hope they haven't been stupid enough to go down that path. "

Can't do the link thingy, but try this

These 2 paragraphs particularly interested me: I know we beat them, unexpectedly, at night. Does anyone remember how they fared especially in night games last season?

The only side effect reported, extensively, by bodybuilder guinea pigs on internet forums is a change in light sensitivity. "It's like looking through yellow sunglasses at night, a high beam coming at me no longer blinds me,'' said one user.

Another said his eyes took from five to 10 minutes to adjust when he moved into or out of a brightly lit room.

You've got to feel bad for Goddard right now.

He could have to carry the team, along with this year's batch of recruits, unless of course they have "signed waivers" and started on the stuff already too.

The AFL will have to get in and quickly Lance this before it gets out of hand.

The weapon seems to be backfiring regularly .

The sponsors are calling the shots at board level .

The head coach didn't want the job=neither does his better qualified assistant .

They lost to us.

Give me more!

Interesting remark by a circumspect Gerard Healy on AW tonight concerning a recent Sports Medicine conference he attended on the Gold Coast. He stated that observations about the likely reasons behind the Dons bizarre level of soft tissue injuries in 2012 were "very interesting in light of current events".

Good to hear him stir the pot ... but he's still a [censored].

I don't want any drug scandals in footy, I just want to watch the best game in the world and know that everyone has an opportunity to win and everyone is trying to win.

But I have to admit that I am secretly glad that this has happened to the Bummers. They were a team I had very little feeling about until the 2000 GF, and since then I have a deep, cold hatred of them. The only thing better than seeing Eddie McGuire's face after a losing GF was seeing Hird's after a losing GF. One of my favourite footy moments is Matty Whelan crunching Hird - it was a little bit of revenge. If I had to choose a c;ub for a scandal it would be the Bummers.

Does this mean that we might get handed the 2000 Premiership on a countback?

Let ti happen....

Please universe ,make this happen.

with an ashen face?

And a sign saying 'This way to the vault'

The HUN is reporting that Geelong and Gold Coast may need to answer some questions regarding their employment of Essendon's fitness staff...the demons may actually make the finals this year by default...

The Bradbury effect !!!! :-)

The one thing that could untie has, hatred of the Bombers.

I knew you were a sadist.

Let him free.

Yep, could Geelong and their three flags be under threat?

Cautious Cats back AFL investigation into Essendon

In a club statement, the Cats said: "The Geelong Football Club can confirm that an individual involved with the Essendon Football Club fitness program during the period currently under investigation was also previously employed by the Geelong Football Club.

  • REPORT: Richmond

The fans who turned up to the MCG for Melbourne’s Anzac Day Eve clash against Richmond would have been disappointed if they turned up to see a great spectacle. As much as this was a night for the 71,635 in attendance to commemorate heroes of the nation’s past wars, it was also a time for the Melbourne Football Club to consolidate upon its first win after a horrific start to the 2025 season. On this basis, despite the fact that it was an uninspiring and dour struggle for most of its 100 minutes, the night will be one for the fans to remember. They certainly got value out of the pre match activity honouring those who fought for their country. The MCG and the lights of the city as backdrop was made for nights such as these and, in my view, we received a more inspirational ceremony of Anzac culture than others both here and elsewhere around the country.

  • CASEY: Richmond

The match up of teams competing in our great Aussie game at its second highest level is a rarity for a work day Thursday morning but the blustery conditions that met the players at a windswept Casey Fields was something far more commonplace. They turned the opening stanza between the Casey Demons and a somewhat depleted Richmond VFL into a mess of fumbling unforced errors, spilt marks and wasted opportunities for both sides but they did set up a significant win for the home team which is exactly what transpired on this Anzac Day round opener. Casey opened up strong against the breeze with the first goal to Aidan Johnson, the Tigers quickly responded and the game degenerated into a defensive slog and the teams were level when the first siren sounded.

After five consecutive defeats, the Demons have now notched up back-to-back victories, comfortably accounting for the Tigers in the traditional ANZAC Eve clash. They surged to a commanding 44-point lead early in the final quarter before easing off the pedal, resting skipper Max Gawn and conceding the last four goals of the game to close out a solid 20-point win.
