I would hope that he is being handled very very carefully in his running program.

He is such a vital player to us, we can't afford any risk of aggravation.

Not so sure monoccular if is "vital" or "costly"

I spoke to Misso last week. He says there is no issue with the injury. He'll be 100%. The mid season problem was apparently caused by a screw moving and rubbing against a toe. This was causing too much pain to continue so it had to be removed. It wasn't actually a complication with the injury itself. Apparently he's going as expected after the surgery. They are just being conservative so he's ready to go for the pre season.

Funny how everyone somehow knew that Mitch was on his death bed but this (above) is exactly what Misso and others have been telling us all along.

You believe them?

They also said he would right to start the season, then when injured he would be out for 3 -4 weeks.

The second language of the AFL is lying.

Injury reports are mainly telling the supporter what he wants to hear.

I believe injury reports when the player runs onto the ground in a match.

heard a whisper yesterday that Paul Roos urged David Misson to shut Clark down a few weeks ago so hes 100% ready for presesason

Make of that what you will

I believe that if they thought he was finished they wouldn't say he was a chance to return before the end of the season.

And I think your over exaggerating a bit - injury reports are there to inform the supporters and sometimes injuries take longer than expected. (similar to building a house on a budget - your almost never going to go under budget but its quite possible you will go over budget).

Would it be out of the realms of possibility they rush him back for the Bulldogs game?

He's not on the long term injury list right?

It wouldn't be impossible i don't think but you wouldn't even think about it imo, far too big a risk

Nice one. I asked him if he had been talking to Roosy. He said no. I asked him what he thought Roosy might do and his comment was. I think he likes that Coogee lifestyle too much.

To borrow your term. Make of that what you will.

I hope the only 'snap' he hears from this day on, is a snap-shot

I for one hope he continues taking his photography seriously... he has a very good eye and is producing some genuinely good work. There is absolutely no reason why he couldn't continue with that and be an A grade footballer at the same time.

Are you serious? If you are, where can you see it.

I actually dropped my credit card out of my wallet onto the ground out the front of the Daily Planet, and found it there over 24 hours later, unused, when I retraced my steps.

... I was going to yoga at the studio next door! Honest!

True story.

    TRAINING: Wednesday 12th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the scorching morning heat to bring you the following observations of Wednesday's preseason training session from Gosch's Paddock. HARVEY WALLBANGER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Absent: Salem, Windsor (word is a foot rash going around), Viney, Bowey and Kentfield Train ons: Roy George, no Culley today. MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’

Demonland Trackwatchers were out in force as the Demons returned to Gosch's Paddock for preseason training on Wednesday morning. GHOSTWRITER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Kozzie a no show. Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. There’s a drill where Selwyn literally lies on top of Tracc, a trainer dribbles the ball towards them and Tracc has to g

THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
