We should forget about Jurrah unless he shows some serious signs of being ready to dedicate himself to AFL again and strings together some very good form in the VFL. Otherwise, no chance.

I think Roos wants players who can run & spread with a hint of pace.

so I reckon Adams sounds like he'd fit that bill, & Nathan Freeman, Dominic Sheed, all sound like good run & spread with strong characters.

I suspect these guys will be on our radar. as well as the Docherty's, etc. players with a couple of Pre seasons into their bodies already.

I'm open to trade anyone to get who we need as quickly as possible, as I'm sure the commission would be as well.

I'm interested in which of our players Demonlanders wouldn't trade, to get the ones we need?

# do any One of these make sense?

some trade possibilities to ponder? who to keep, & who to trade, to build from our strengths.
??? Frawley + Blease ~ GWS (P1 + Adams) = Boyd + Adams
??? or ~ (pass on Boyd) for Aish & Adams & (Saints P21 + DelSanto & Fisher?)
??? or ontrade P1 & P20 to Carlton for Lachie Henderson + P10 & Tom Bell/Chris Yarran?
??? or ontrade P1 to Saints for P3 & P21 & Del Santo?

??? Gawn > Lions for (Billy Longer)?,,,, or > GWS for Taylor Adams?
or Gawn & Blease to Hawks for Xavier Ellis & Brad Sewell?

Yeah, that's him.

Let's take a punt. I don't put him in the Martin category.

Can we at least get the kid some neck tatts or a sleeve?

# none of these trades seem reasonable or realistic

It's the same everywhere though. If you read opposition forums they do the same - flipping average players off for second rounders or landing a big fish without having to give up a great deal. Part of the reason why people get so upset when a trade goes through and it's not what they wanted, so it looks like a bad deal. Happens every year, as regular as clockwork.

Yes....but.

Wasn't this the bloke who was overlooked last year? Poor attitude? Winnie Blue and VB in hand?

If we're talking about culture, not sure this bloke fits the bill.

This is the very attitude that has prevented us from success. Martin Pike was traded out and went on 2 win I think 4 premierships with North & Bris. I have faith that someone like Flash & Roos can turn Dale Garlett from a rough diamond in2 a gem of a crumbing forward/midfield option. Hopefully we get him at 19 or later if there's no interest.

Every year this happens.

Why would you want to trade a proven player for one that only has potential?

Would have to be the worst potential trade posts I have ever read. No logic, no thought just grab a few names and get another post up.

You are truly deluded Deeluded.

Agreed! If you re-read the thread you'll see dee-luded did it first and my post was a tongue in cheek comment.

Jeremy Howe.

Could be anything under Roos. I see what you're saying but I'd rather offload a Tapscott or Strauss (who have less currency, I'm aware of that) than let go of Howe now.

no way Roos will trade out Jeremy Howe

Why would you give away the best mark in the game? Roos will find a way to utilize his strengths and he will be an absolute weapon for us

I take it your talkling about Frawley out of that list,,, & none are hardened wishes of mine, but an open look at what we have as assets, & what if anything we could do with those assets.

I lead with Frawls because he has the biggest worth we have, and had made it known at one stage he was seeking out. he's got one year before he can walk.

we don't have much of hard value at present that we could achieve any multiplied results from.

so as an open discussion, I wondered what open minded supporters would be willing to do to get as many options to our club,,, to use in varying trade scenarios.

this could help to get us some mature players & also some young talents as well.

... & we all know we have some on the list who are clogs.

so, back to the question. I think these players are all tradable re the right circumstances.

Gawn

Blease

Howe
Dunn
Tapscott
Blease
Spencer

Bail

& Frawley is the most in demand from others, who have players we want.

we have a lot of work to do to build the list to a top 6 list.

to me, its a question of how quickly we can turn it around, & with who. a mixture of young and old, for quick & longer lasting effect.

Because he has worth above his current ability.

In GWS he'd be worth a lot more because of this. (at GWS he may be worth Adams + their 2ndRnd Pick)? that pick may pickup Nat KJonses brother?

at the Suns he may be worth Swallow, who wants to come to Melbourne to live?

we need mids more than marks.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
