From the little footage I've seen Aish strikes me as another Gibbs / Trengove / Toumpas type.

Medium size. One paced. A lovely kick and good decision maker, but not ferocious enough to play inside, and not quick enough to play outside.

I agree, I really like how he can see what's around him and make a quick, correct decision and execute well. Really impressed.

That's fair. If anyone remembers Gibbs pre-draft the hype was extraordinary. Aish could easily turn out to be another disappointing Gibbs, who doesn't like to get his nose dirty, but he could also turn out to be a gun. Cotchin was tagged out of the championships and started to have question marks too.

As usual, we'll hope that in the fullness of time we'll look back and say we got it right.

I like the fact that Aish is actually on the park atm, other than Sheed.

So no doubt we'll be looking closely at Aish, Kelly and Scharenberg between now and draft time.

I like Sheed as a player and loved his championships, but the common consensus at the moment is that Aish, Kelly and Scharenberg are vying for #2.

Sheed killing the championships appears to have surprised many, so I'd like to know how well he was going before the championships, most had him 10-15 beforehand.

Kelly hasn't exactly set the TAC cup on fire either, so I do see why Aish is the logical #2 pick for most.

It's going to be very interesting how it plays out.

But If we were keen on Kelly last year, then I cannot see us overlooking him this year.

Between Kelly and Aish for mine.

I take that back, you are right there. Funny thing is I perceive Fyfe as the taller of the two but Mundy is deceptive.

There's something about Scharenberg that looks right, I hope we get two early picks. With Hogan, Viney, Toumpas and Kent we could be well set up now with some senior players that can lead the way in Garland, Jones, Dawes, Clark and Frawley around.

Agility and quickness are his biggest strengths, in my opinion.

So far from one-paced, I can't believe someone would say it.

I think he has been playing with an injury for a large portion of the season, his game on the weekend was very good and I think he is just getting back to full finess. Jump on in DT if you haven't already got him he is dirt cheap. Unless you are in the Demonland Rookies league in which case don't as I will be versing you.

From recollection, Cotchin got frustrated with the attention he received from McGinnity before getting worn down. Aish kept working hard to try and find other ways to contribute to the team even if he wasn’t the primary playmaker.

What he did when he had the ball was something else. His efficiency was elite. This stat can often be distorted by players who might hit a lot of safe, short targets, but in Aish’s case his involvements were often medium to long distance passes that directly led to scoring opportunities for SA.

He actually looks like he has physically developed a little more since the start of the season, maybe an extra kg or two.

Agree mate, he hit up targets whilst under maximum pressure. The kid is a real talent and I wouldn't be disappointed to have him at Melbourne.

This kid is rated as the clear number 2 at the moment. I have to admit that his size is an issue for me. We have had too many skinny kids in recent years and look set to pick up Stretch next year who looks to be a bit of a beanpole too.
