it will have been 4 weeks by the time we play the saints...

Nah, just inside 3 weeks. Not enough time, having done these things a number of times you need a good 4 weeks.

i miscalculated, still longer than the 1 week someone stated

If players like Dawes and Frawley have even the slightest hint of a niggle.. rest them. Theres no point putting them at risk. I know they are winnable games, but a players health should be above that.

I would do this

In -

Viney

Couch

Gawn

Magner

Out -

Fitzpatrick

Tapscott

Dunn

McKenzie

Viney coming out of a moonboot, will be underdone for match fitness & should play at Casey.

Gawn is still just getting back some form, not there yet.

Fitzpatrick needs some game time.

maybe couch or clisby If they can be elevated?

but for mine, I would keep the changes to an absolute minimum.

I'd like to see what some of these other players on our list can do, lets throw in some of these other players and give them 4-5 weeks in the seniors and tell them show us why you should stay on the list.

I'm sick of every week the team being In/Out Rodan, Sellar, Nicholson, Pederson.

Get Magner, Couch, Clisby in, put Clark on the LTI.

Drop Dunn and delist at seasons end, I'm sick of the same old thing every week.

Magner and Couch are fighting to be promoted, they've done enough in the VFL so lets see if they can replicate it at AFL they cant be any worse than the other blokes on our list that had their cards marked years ago.

From what I've seen of Clisby he has something and just maybe worth giving some games too.

Let Fitzpatrick have a crack as a forward and Dawes can support him. I'd love to see Clark play but really what good does it do getting him back now, so we might win 1 more game? Lets just get him right for next year

It's Jerry Seinfeld...

But seriously folks, what's the deal with our changes? Have you ever noticed that.... Ba ba baba babow...

Neeld said he wanted to bring in more youth, which I think was just some sort of spiel line because our side v Pies was younger than any other side we have previously listed this year with Kent, Toumpas, Blease and Evans all together. Only Jack Viney could make it a more youthful squad, unless Dom Barry is included and he did not even get a gig for Casey last week.

Neeld also bagged our senior players and given that Davey was handy and Rodan is new and he went to great lengths to praise him the week before, he must have been talking about Jamar, Dunn and Sylvia because the rest of the side is under 26. So maybe the Russian is going to be dropped with Dunn.

A few other things - Jordie can't kick but he did work hard and we need a tagger for Jack Steven, so unless Bail replaces him, I'd stick with him.

If Clark is now even longer term, then surely Couch can come off rookie list and he deserves another chance and that means someone has to come out of the engine room - Rodan is the obvious choice.

Pedersen is an obvious match-up for Stanley or Hooper (if they play him) and while Tom Mc did well on Riewoldt last time, Garland is our main man at moment. Tom Mc will therefore most likely go to Maister. Col is so quick however that he could go to Milney (who is the one that fires them up). If not, I'd bring J Mac in to play on Milney, because the little pest is a very good lead-up player. If J Mac is out, then Clisby must be a chance.

If Neeld wants to drop Jamar to give him a lesson about working harder then it's a big ask to just go with Gawn against McEvoy and possibly Hooper. Big Ben is very fit, so Spencer would have to come in as well as Fitzy is not quite good enough for lengthy stints in the ruck.

So assuming Dawes passes his fitness test and Viney and J Mac are available I'd go for the following changes.

Out: Tapscott, Rodan, Dunn (delisting is just around corner), Fitzpatrick, Jamar.

In: Viney, Couch, J Macdonald, Gawn and Spencer (yes I know he isn't up to AFL level, but he is doing well at VFL level and he and Gawny had the better of Hudson and Witts last week.)

However I won't be surprised if Neeld does the exact opposite of what he says and goes back to older players such as Byrnes at the expense of either Kent or Blease.

We can't debut too many against a bottom 3 side. That's tankin' talk.

I'd be tempted to ask Jesse Hogan to remain unshaven for the next fortnight and hope that he pass off as Jack Fitzpatrick.

Do you think anyone would notice?

Yeah...probably everyone...

I'd say once he clunks his 12th grab and slots through his 5th people would become aroused. Whoops, sorry, I mean suspicious

Gonna be interesting to see Craigs changes this week

Very true. For me it will not only be about what players are brought in, but what positions players might be put in.

One thing I'm hoping is that Dunn is out. I'd rather have Joel Macdonald in over him.

How the team line's up this week will be very interesting to see. I also wonder how the players are feeling in all this.

Terlich Davis Garland
Clisby McDonald M. Jones

Toumpas Jones Evans

Howe Dawes Sylvia

Davey Gawn Blease
Jamar Magner McKenzie
Trengove Viney Watts Kent

Out: Rodan, Dunn, Pedersen, Tapscott, Fitzy

In: Magner, Clisby, Davis, Viney, Gawn

3 forced changes in Gawn has to come in for Fitzy, Magner for Rodan and Viney for Tapscott and the other 2 are really about providing some kids a chance. I know we are stuck with Dunn and Pedersen for next year but they are offering so little. I want to know if Davis can play and it's a hard task to throw him in but he'll be on Maister or Stanley and he has to be good enough to limit those type of players. And Clisby looks a nice AFL prospect with run, speed and skill for Casey. Has to have a look in ahead of Dunn.

Viney is still out for 2 or 3 weeks.

Thought he was 2 weeks before QB'day which would put him in line to play. If not just keep Tapscott in then.

It's about time we had a look at him at this level. Maester or what ever he was called then did touch him up last year in the VFL last year so it might also be a measure of his improvement.

Would like to see Clisby but still a rookie and Taggert.

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc.
