Posting unsubstantiated rumours on this website is strictly forbidden.

Demonland has made the difficult decision to not permit this platform to be used to discuss & debate the off-field issues relating to the Melbourne Football Club including matters currently being litigated between the Club & former Board members, board elections, the issue of illicit drugs in footy, the culture at the club & the personal issues & allegations against some of our players & officials ...

We do not take these issues & this decision lightly & of course we believe that these serious matters affecting the club we love & are so passionate about are worthy of discussion & debate & I wish we could provide a place where these matters can be discussed in a civil & respectful manner.

However these discussions unfortunately invariably devolve into areas that may be defamatory, libelous, spread unsubstantiated rumours & can effect the mental health of those involved. Even discussion & debate of known facts or media reports can lead to finger pointing, blame & personal attacks.

The repercussion is that these discussions can open this website, it’s owners & it’s users to legal action & may result in this website being forced to shutdown.

Our moderating team are all volunteers & cannot moderate the forum 24/7 & as a consequence problematic content that contravenes our rules & standards may go unnoticed for some time before it can be removed.

We reserve the right to delete posts that offend against our above policy & indeed, to ban posters who are repeat offenders or who breach our code of conduct.

WE HAVE BUILT A FANTASTIC ONLINE COMMUNITY AT DEMONLAND OVER THE PAST 23 YEARS & WE WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE TO BE ABLE TO DISCUSS THE CLUB WE LOVE & ARE SO PASSIONATE ABOUT.

Thank you for your continued support & understanding. Go Dees.

What's wrong CFB, afraid optimism might be contagious, you don't have to read the posts or post yourself, it must be really satisfying in a strange sort of way to be so negative about everything.

Although I do admire your many references to pop culture, you obviously fill your waking hours expanding yourself

There's a difference between optimism and delusion and you my friend are all hepped up on the kool aid.

It's usually a battle of wits with unarmed men, but hey, I find it entertaining, got to try and keep the Demonland Orcs under control, thought you would have WYL chortling alongside you, hasn't got the bottle to take me on by himself

If you need a way to fill the hours getting a job would be more productive instead of just racking up thousands of posts on here every day trying to do your best impersonation of the Iraqi defence minister.

SCH, is 100% a troll. This one of the most if not the most visited non official AFL sites on the web and the club is a basketcase, perfect opportunity for a troll with little to do in his life to come and work people up who are already extremely worked up for obvious reasons. I hate to say it but this place is a haven for trolls they dream of forums like this.

I think someone has actually validated that, yes, he is a volunteer at the club. Any confirmations?

He's no troll. He’s a passionate dees man like the rest of us. Actually he could probably argue that he is more actively passionate than some of us as he attends trainings, B&F nights, he is best mates with every one of the players (just ask him.... actually dont ask him and he'll tell you anyway!)......

Problem is, he seems to have no capacity for forming his own opinions on the current plight of the club. Furthermore the extent of his analysis of the palyers in our squad is limited to platitudes regurgited from Matt Burgan’s weekly puff pieces.

Next time I make the trip over to Victoria to watch a game at the ‘G, i’ll be keeping an eye out for a special bloke wearing #39 on his gurnsey, cheering the Dees on like they’ve won the last 10 flags in a row.

He occasionally attends the Monday/Tuesday ring around team. Spends the rest of the time coattailing anyone in red and blue who may be hanging around the MCG, AAMI park or Gosch's paddock. Been known to attend the odd training session where he can hang on every word any member of the FD cares to throw at him. He knows it's all gospel.

He knows we've got the best coaches, the best board led by a great and charismatic president who's (pun intended) inclusivity and love of the club's supporters is legendary.

All in all - the club's in a great state - we are all deluded (or brainwashed by certain members of the media), And finals are just around the corner.

Satty (or whoey, or whatever name he chooses next) always knows more than the rest of us - and he's always right.

I think the next statue outside the 'G should be of him.

OK, I can accept DemonWA's explanation, but someone needs to counsel SAT about his comments, because they are not helpful to MFC's current predicament and they take away from Demonlanders' genuine concerns for the Club - I would like to think that we are all passionate supporters of MFC regardless of our differences of opinion at times.

Watching tonights game just makes me very angry with the last 6 years.

We were ALL Conned.

How were we able to get so bad? What the hell went on inside the place?

Is half our list ruined?

I agree mate, I see highly skilled, intelligent footballers that think their way through the passage of play and don't just throw it on the boot. Their mistakes don't turn into goals either! That's what hurts me the most!. I was talking to a mate from work today who is a die hard Blues fan, he reckons the Blues tanked at the right time (admits it) The Dee's have been punished by GCFC and GWS (the rant came from no where, my bad) Edited by BrisbaneDemon

Tanking was never right for the MFC. We had to learn the hard way.

But the powers that be thought differently, and all the money WE donated has been blown.

It's a shame we members didn't crack it hard after 186, but i was in shock so i suppose a lot of others were too.

Collingwood are playing like Melbourne, Sydney on the other hand sprint, and then they sprint some more and if in doubt they sprint. It's not complicated.

I know. That is why i am angry.

It shouldn't take 2 years + to teach this. Not when they train all week.

Friday night games frustrate me also. They continually serve to show how far away from being a decent team we are. It's like we are in Bizzaro world and the real teams are in an entirely different reality.

Yep i feel the same. We are disconnected from the League we started.

What the hell was CS doing!!

I spoke to him a few times. I really enjoyed those talks, but they were all garbage...His template has killed our list.

I agree with a lot of the comments re tonight's game and MFC's game, but two points for consideration:

1 tonight is ugly football lacking in skill, which a team like Geelong will rip apart in finals (ignore last week, these things happen)

2 why are the Pies allowed to get away with blocking the player on the mark (perhaps the 5 metre zone should apply here as well)

The Swans spread beautifully in the 2nd Quarter, they just sprayed shots.

The Filth are ordinary. I enjoy watching ugly footy if its tight. Its a tough game.

Watch the 90 Elimination. I would love to see the Demons play like that again.

Pre-season most teams train in a similar manner. We have Misson, Craig and Neeld all who have been at successful clubs and yet we play like we come from another planet.

I agree, this should not take 2 plus years to play watchable football, I just can't help think Neeld can't coach. Surely our players are not this dumb?

I agree with your comment on the Swans spread WYL, but the hand and foot skills of both teams are very average cf Geelong.

    DISCO INFERNO by Whispering Jack

Two weeks ago, when the curtain came down on Melbourne’s game against the Brisbane Lions, the team trudged off the MCG looking tired and despondent at the end of a tough run of games played in quick succession. In the days that followed, the fans wanted answers about their team’s lamentable performance that night and foremost among their concerns was whether the loss was a one off result of fatigue or was it due to other factor(s) of far greater consequence.  As it turns out, the answer to

TIGERS PUNT CASEY by KC from Casey

The afternoon atmosphere at the Swinburne Centre was somewhat surreal as the game between Richmond VFL and the Casey Demons unfolded on what was really a normal work day for most Melburnians. The Yarra Park precinct marched to the rhythm of city life, the trains rolled by, pedestrians walked by with their dogs and the traffic on Punt Road and Brunton Avenue swirled past while inside the arena, a football battle ensued. And what a battle it was? The Tigers came in with a record of two wins f

It's Game Day and the Demons once again open the round of football with their annual clash against Richmond on ANZAC Eve. The Tigers, coached by former Dees champion and Premiership assistant coach Adem Yze have a plethora of stars missing due to injury but beware the wounded Tiger. The Dees will have to be switched on tonight. A win will keep them in the hunt for the Top 4 whilst a loss could see them fall out of the 8 for the first time since 2020.

Demonland Trackwatcher Kev Martin ventured down to Gosch's Paddock to bring you his observations from this morning's Captain's Run including some hints at the changes for our ANZAC Eve clash against the Tigers. Sunny, though a touch windy, this morning, 23 of them no emergencies.  Forwards out first. Harrison Petty, JvR, Jack Billings, Kade Chandler, Kozzy, Bayley Fritsch, and coach Stafford.  The backs join them, Steven May, Jake Lever, Woey, Judd McVee, Blake Howes, Tom McDonald

There’s a touch of irony in the fact that Adem Yze played his first game for Melbourne in Round 13, 1995 against the club he now coaches. For that game, he wore the number 44 guernsey and got six touches in a game the team won by 11 points.  The man whose first name was often misspelled, soon changed to the number 13 and it turned out lucky for him. He became a highly revered Demon with a record of 271 games during which his presence was acknowledged by the fans with the chant of “Oozee” wh
