Discussion on recent allegations about the use of illicit drugs in football is forbidden
  • IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING

Posting unsubstantiated rumours on this website is strictly forbidden.

Demonland has made the difficult decision to not permit this platform to be used to discuss & debate the off-field issues relating to the Melbourne Football Club including matters currently being litigated between the Club & former Board members, board elections, the issue of illicit drugs in footy, the culture at the club & the personal issues & allegations against some of our players & officials ...

We do not take these issues & this decision lightly & of course we believe that these serious matters affecting the club we love & are so passionate about are worthy of discussion & debate & I wish we could provide a place where these matters can be discussed in a civil & respectful manner.

However these discussions unfortunately invariably devolve into areas that may be defamatory, libelous, spread unsubstantiated rumours & can effect the mental health of those involved. Even discussion & debate of known facts or media reports can lead to finger pointing, blame & personal attacks.

The repercussion is that these discussions can open this website, it’s owners & it’s users to legal action & may result in this website being forced to shutdown.

Our moderating team are all volunteers & cannot moderate the forum 24/7 & as a consequence problematic content that contravenes our rules & standards may go unnoticed for some time before it can be removed.

We reserve the right to delete posts that offend against our above policy & indeed, to ban posters who are repeat offenders or who breach our code of conduct.

WE HAVE BUILT A FANTASTIC ONLINE COMMUNITY AT DEMONLAND OVER THE PAST 23 YEARS & WE WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE TO BE ABLE TO DISCUSS THE CLUB WE LOVE & ARE SO PASSIONATE ABOUT.

Thank you for your continued support & understanding. Go Dees.

Dank involved at Demons?

AFL angry we lied, as just reported on FS through email to Barrett.
Essendon came out and admitted involvement, now hailed as brave/heroic by the public.
Melbourne tried to hide and get away with it through denial, will be hung up to dry surely.
I'm sad to say that we deserve it.
I can't stand liars, such a despicable human trait and now a huge part of my life has turned out to be one.
The pain would be immense i am sure of it, if i wasn't already numb due to the absolute hell ride this football club has taken me on the past 6 years.
For no apparent reason here is a picture of a dog dressed up as Batman.
It cheers me up, hopefully it can also do the same for you:

AFL in statement "urgently wanting an explanation from Melbourne, to explain the discrepancy between previous statements to the afl and the report on 7.30.Report tonight"

THIS is the statement MFC released some time ago with reference to Dank:

"Steve Dank has never been employed by the Melbourne Football Club. All medical procedures involving the administration of supplements and medical substances have been and will continue to be under the supervision, direction and authority of the club doctor Dan Bates."

At best, it's misleading. At worst, it's dishonest.

One explanation is that the the author was unaware of Dank's true involvement with MFC. This would be because Bates (and perhaps others) was not honest with the club when he was asked about Dank (as he undoubtedly was). If so, his days are surely numbered.

On February 5, a spokeswoman for Melbourne issued the following brief statement to the Herald Sun newspaper:

"He applied for a job at the club late last year but he was unsuccessful. He has never had any direct contact with the players."

You just don't get it, do you?

I'm just not willing to jump to conclusions without all the facts.

Because that differs from how you view things you believe I don't get it.

You like to bully and harp on a point but guess what Robbie, just because someone differs from your opinion does not mean they don't had an intricate understanding of the problems being faced, they just choose to react and handle them differently.

Get over yourself...

I seriously can't take anymore. Caro was being a shrew when she called us pathetic and disgusting but put frankly she was more right than she ever knew.

Thats the reason we let Daff and the other guy walk? WTF is wrong with this club?

I think, you may find that Misson wanted the final say, so the doc went.

& misson was wanted everywhere Inc? sydney?

I reckon this stuff will be widespread.

It seems it must have been going at the dons the whole time their new coach has been incharge?

& then it follows back to the [censored], turning into men, & going on to win flags?????

lets Not turn this into something about us, when its the wider Elite sport community.

The above statement is not wrong and we never denied that we used supplements.

Technically there are no lies above.

Still, I'm not sure wtf this club is doing.

They avoided a full disclosure but they did not lie about dank not being involved. The problem is that it looks deceitful. Like tanking. Like firing schwab because he "divides the supporter base"; like saying that the coach does not know why they players aren't playing well. LIke saying we had a "rigorous process" about recruiting Neeld; like saying "High performance with high integrity". Like firing the CEO and then re-hiring him and firing the coach after the players tell the pres-in-waiting that they cannot stand the ceo. Lies, deceit, half-truths, betrayals of trust. Again and again and again.

And to think that when this Board or the club processes have been questioned by posters on this site for several years, the questioners have been smeared and derided as "splitters" or informants to the media.

What if it's Bate's fault? What if he was sending players off to Dank without the club knowing?

I know it may not be the case, but would explain a lot.

Craig knew, Misson knew

Our failure to disclose our involvement with Danks hits at the integrity of the club. If our Dr, trengrove, Dunn, Spencer and even Neil Craig have all been implicated via SMS messages then to say we had no involvement means we are either lying, or we have not got a clue what is happening in the club. Considering we have just gone through 6 months of tanking alegations etc we are not looking too credible or believable.

Another sad day, not only because we are implicted, but also because the treatments obviously did not work.

I didn't say what we exactly denied, I said it generally.

But to be more specific with you we did deny that Dank had involvement in the footy club, when he actually did through a round about way.

Technically speaking he didnt but come on, we aren't going to bamboozle everyone through a "loop hole".

So in my books knowingly being deceiving like this is a form of lying. So I still stand by my above rant, and the Batman Dog.

True but the way they are worded we clearly know more then we are letting on.

Why say he never had any "direct contact". Trying to be cute and it will come back to bite us big time.

We may well have not done anything illegal but come out looking worse than the bumbers.

    DISCO INFERNO by Whispering Jack

Two weeks ago, when the curtain came down on Melbourne’s game against the Brisbane Lions, the team trudged off the MCG looking tired and despondent at the end of a tough run of games played in quick succession. In the days that followed, the fans wanted answers about their team’s lamentable performance that night and foremost among their concerns was whether the loss was a one off result of fatigue or was it due to other factor(s) of far greater consequence.  As it turns out, the answer to

TIGERS PUNT CASEY by KC from Casey

The afternoon atmosphere at the Swinburne Centre was somewhat surreal as the game between Richmond VFL and the Casey Demons unfolded on what was really a normal work day for most Melburnians. The Yarra Park precinct marched to the rhythm of city life, the trains rolled by, pedestrians walked by with their dogs and the traffic on Punt Road and Brunton Avenue swirled past while inside the arena, a football battle ensued. And what a battle it was? The Tigers came in with a record of two wins f

    GAMEDAY: Rd 07 vs Richmond

It's Game Day and the Demons once again open the round of football with their annual clash against Richmond on ANZAC Eve. The Tigers, coached by former Dees champion and Premiership assistant coach Adem Yze have a plethora of stars missing due to injury but beware the wounded Tiger. The Dees will have to be switched on tonight. A win will keep them in the hunt for the Top 4 whilst a loss could see them fall out of the 8 for the first time since 2020.

    OOZEE by The Oracle

There’s a touch of irony in the fact that Adem Yze played his first game for Melbourne in Round 13, 1995 against the club he now coaches. For that game, he wore the number 44 guernsey and got six touches in a game the team won by 11 points.  The man whose first name was often misspelled, soon changed to the number 13 and it turned out lucky for him. He became a highly revered Demon with a record of 271 games during which his presence was acknowledged by the fans with the chant of “Oozee” wh
