"Tanking"

Garry got too heated and emotional and couldn't nail her. I understood the point he was trying to make as caro flip flopped about the MFC defence. - what nonsense - we have an official and unofficial defence.......plllleeeaassseeee.

He did call her out on the players being questioned about them fumbling and her response........ She didn't know that they were accused of that.....

She is extremely clever... Garry didnt land a telling blow on her.

He didn't land a killer blow - but he made her look very stupid

The way she tried to distinguish between the "official" and "unofficial" defence ( "water cooler talk" as Gary called it) was pathetic.Questioning Gary's credibility didn't help her case - because all Gary was doing at the time was reading Don's message ! All it did was make her look a bit rattled.

Gary was clearly fed up with her. At least once later in the show the camera caught him looking angrily at her - and the instant she show finished he turned his back on her and threw his arms in the air.

She took a bit of a beating in the Essendon segment as well - all to quick to sink the boots in. She is a disgrace.

I would have liked Garry to have gone a little harder and land a knockout blow, but at the end of the day she finished up looking pretty silly. It would have been nice to see Hutchinson contribute something to a segment he introduced to the show. As for Lloyd. Surely a cardboard cut out of Grant Thomas would have done a better job.

Good.

I hope she takes a walk.

its good to see she's feeling the pinch for all her vindictiveness & manipulating.

It's ironic she was questioning Garry's credibility or integrity when she has none. No wonder she doesn't want to show her face next week on tv, she's an embarrassment to herself.

Caro making noises about not doing next weeks show. Serious

Were these alleged noises official?

Her "First Lady of Football" status looks shaky about now.

Did anyone notice during the Essendon PED discussion she said "I'm not ending careers..........", as if she had some sort of say in the matter.

It's the same kind of presumption she's carried as leader of the imagined "Let's Get Melbourne" faction.

When Garry called her out on the assertion that the media never questioned the players performance she responded in a very interesting manner. She actually looked stunned, her arms crossed and she retracted back in to her seat in a typical fight or flight response that was also an over reaction. The over reaction is also a typical response of someone who is not being totally honest and overcompensates when challenged. She then feigned ignorance but her physical leakage was copy book, She knew that she had been caught out. Her next response was also indicative of someone who knew that she was exposed. By going on the attack and questioning Garry's integrity she gained valuable thinking time, and was able to bury that question. Make no mistakes she was lying about that particular question. Or at least unofficially she was.

A very interesting post Outside Fifty. I am intrigued. Tell me, can the same behaviour occur on forums such as this when challenged or 'caught out? Such as going on the attack or ignoring fellow posters.....

I thought she made herself look stupid. She admitted her last piece was all fluff, nonsense & hearsay No cred left now.

If she walks from FC I will probably watch it again.

I found her reference to AA v GM very interesting though. Have had my suspicions for a while.

Nice critique. You a body language psychoanalyst or something?

I seem to remember reading in an early article of hers the allegation that Melb players "fumbled" in several games including the last minutes of the Richmond one and a Sydney game. Maybe someone can find her fumble article and Gary will have the evidence to stick under her nose (IF she has the courage to front next week).

It's barely believable that for all her determination to find MFC guilty of the very thing Richmond have admitted (wished Garry had raised that), that she has totally missed the allegations of fumbling. It sounded very much like a bare prune-faced lie to me (which fits the psychoanalysis.. thx).

My assessment was of supercilious hypocrisy (she had the gall to dismiss us all as "rabid supporters").

Yes. Going on the attack without any real justification is a primary indicator of deflection, as is belittling people. People deflect because they fear being exposed.

Let's be honest, CW is more slippery than a piece of prison soap. She deflected, contorted, distracted, bemused, attacked to every straight question, but still couldn't save face from what her poison tipped pen has spewed out. Garry did as well as anyone could considering who he was up against.

The only thing she didn't do, which was the one reaction she had left was threaten to walk out. If Garry pushed any harder, I'm sure she would have pushed that button and it would have been a headache for him back stage. Mind you, if she'd done that, bring in the new 'first lady', Emma Quayle.

Garry didn't seem greatly concerned tonight considering we may have news soon (hopefully). I'm guessing that he knows something. If we find out tomorrow, then well and good. Let's hope it's great news.

As an aside - the show itself (Footy Classified) lacks so much punch without Thommo. Can't see Matty Lloyd being the answer. It's not his kind of show. It's got to be an ex footballer who shoots from the hip a bit. Archer didn't work either although Carey was reasonable. Someone who is always going to challenge Wilson is needed. Thommo was near perfect. Dermie would probably work.

Can't see myself watching the show in the future with any great enthusiasm. It's like the Caro hour. I actually put her on mute after the Melbourne segment. Trouble was I had to look at her until she stopped yapping. ^_^

Perhaps she is right that GM is a deal maker.

Whatever the case, from when she wrote her first articles back on OCT 30th, whilst she has gone "hard" on the club and individuals, she had CC, CS, DB all gone and WILL be sanctioned ---to---Fairfax Media cannot confirm if CS will be charged, DB,CC to be charged and "it is expected" the club be charged for bringing the game into disrepute.

Tonight her first words on Melbourne were, "I think they will get off lightly", "my understanding is CS will not be charged"..

Yet she states to Hutchy she has never waivered. FMD.

Agree with this. Compare the way Gaz took her to task compared to Lloyd when they were discussing Hird and Essendon. He was like a meek kitty kat and Caro just stared back at him with that twisted smirk of hers. He needs to be replaced by someone who can actually handle the old crow.

Garry did well overall. His three best moments were correcting her on the fumble accusation to which she had no answer, "water cooler talk" (loved it), and defending his own credibility in the matter.

She definitely spoke with pride at the end on her being "unwavering" in her attack on Melbourne. She's a real piece of work.

Could be a bad year for Kero .

I hope it is an agonising and bumpy fall for her.The Wangaratta Times is calling.

She wants to be in a "boys club" , breaks the rules of journalism, decency and respect, gets dressed down and threatens to take her bat and ball home.

I love it.

Yep - I generally like Lloyd as a commentator but he seems out of his depth on this show. He looked like a school kid being told off when CW responded to his assertion Hird should get a $5k fine or suspension that he would have to go.

Guest José Mourinho

I think the claim that GM is a deal maker is just her covering her backside if she's wrong.

Then it'll be because GM "made a deal" and MFC were lucky.

It couldn't possibly because AA was feverishly pursuing charges, without a considerations for the lack of evidence, but has now been replaced by the relatively level-headed GM.

Also funny to listen to SEN this morning and hear that beauty remains firmly in the eye of the beholder.

Some twit actually called in and said CW was good last night, and actually made Lyon look silly!

Fancy that!

Anyway, she's not a popular girl this morning.

Gary made a fool of her plain and simple, ML is a dick, bagging us for tanking yet defending Hird and his boys from drug taking, overall its a pathetic show.

The show is really struggling without Thomas so Hutchy has to resort to this type of world championship wrestling promotion. They need to dump Lloyd and get someone who has a clue, someone with a bit of personality. Maybe they could get the mastermind Tim Watson to sort it out for them.

and they definitely don't need 2 Essendope supporters on a panel of 4 especially as the drug investigation will go for months

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an
