Caroline Wilson's descent into gutter journalism

I was reviewing some of CW's history and found something interesting in regards to the Mifsud/Davey/Neeld race issues:

  • “I can categorically tell you that Jason Mifsud would not have made this up,” Caroline Wilson
  • "Jason Mifsud conceded Aaron Davey never told him that Mark Neeld was treating indigenous players differently in Melbourne's pre-season player meetings." 3AW
  • "Jason now accepts that Aaron didn’t say the words that were published by Grant Thomas and Jason has apologised to Aaron for putting him in the situation where those words were published." Davey and Misfud joint statemen

I put it to you - can anyone find a recent, pro-MFC article published by CW?

Remember from 30/10/2012 to 3/11/2012 CW has published 6 anti-MFC articles!

The evidence just keeps on coming

Caro has always made stuff up. She often uses a throw away line in an article with no substance triying to pass it as fact. I have had sport for years reading her articles and identifying the line. Occurs almost without exception. She's a shocking 'journalist'.

On her MFC rants, she said something in an article years ago referring to Robert Flower and the unhappy circumstances in which he left the club, or similar. I had to show it to my non MFC supporting wife to say I have lived and breathed the MFC and never heard about any such thing. But she said it in the article. Just made it up. Has been doing it for an awfully long time.

Even on Footy Classified she is often shown to have made things up, but just sits there and says 'well, that's what I believe happened.'

I actually thinks she's nuts.

Keep it coming

Let;s give her the benefit of the doubt - she's not nuts - but she definite;y despises Cameron Schwab and the MFC

Here is a link to the article I've mentioned previously. It says absolutely nothing - but it reveals Wilson's peculiar pre-occupation with anything that might embarrass Cameron Schwab. http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/140000-loan-for-schwab-20110328-1cdgq.html

The MFC Annual Report for the Year Ended 31 October 2010 fully disclosing the loan was released on 22 December 2010. Wilson ran this as a headline article on 29 March 2011.

CW clearly has a conflict of interest concerning the MFC - I would love to know if she is being influenced externally....

Someone out there really wants to de-stabilise this club - they can G&GF

This is great stuff but what we need is a separate thread investigating Wilson and her bias against the club and putting all of the examples of her bias against our board, administration and officials in the one place. In this way, we might also uncover her sources. If any of them are internal or associated in some way past or present with the MFC they should be exposed.

Good suggestion and one that I'd like to take on board. I'm on holiday at the moment and am working off an iphone but will definitely have a crack at compiling articles Wilson has written that are derogatory to the club. Also, if she's written anything favourable about us.

I also think we need to get to the heart of who has been supplying her with information from within the club over the years. That would be a more worthwhile exercise than suing her for libel.

I heard from a lawyer friend of mine that the gutters of melbourne are in discussion on the possibility of starting a class action against Caroline Wilson for bringing their good name into disrepute. They point out that they provide a valuable contribution to melbourne society and they have had enough of their good name being dragged down to such depths

Good luck with that WJ.

I think we will win a flag before that happens.

The HUN would have a field day if this were to occur.

Maybe they could join their action with "absolute garbage"which CW has been dragging down for years.

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last
