What possible trade options are there? Any players? Pick 23 or 30?

Posted

Pick 30 please.

23 to much to ask? I was always of the opinion that a straight swap for Dawes would seem a fate trade for both parties and obviously we paid pick 20 +

Pick 30 please.

(stupidest thing I have posted but not the dumbest thing I have seen on here)

What about Hanley, Hawksley, or Banfield?

Proabably not going to get Redden or Rich...

Hawksley has been delisted I think. Hanley wouldnt be bad and not sure on banfield. They look to have a few picks to play with and are happy enough to recruit mature players my guess would be pick 23 (great for MFC) or 30 (more likely)

I just saw someone say play Frawley in the midfield, so not the dumbest thing today anyway

Play hardball... Rich or no deal.

Might as well demand the 01-03 Premierships while we're at it.

Ok, I'll go with that... add them to the list ;-)

Yes, and Voss to un-retire and come to us as a 22 year old.

You don't ask you demand like the Pies did. You want Martin, pick 23 is the price.

Grimes and gys running together - very good sign. Can't see Gys getting traded if he's running with the captain. Not enuf value to trade - too much up side that needs a full preseason. Good move, good leadership Jack.

Keep please. (I did say please...)

Well Grimes was in full team training kit, while Gys was just in a white T-Shirt - not that I'd read into that.

Gee, can you arrange it?

Yes, but I will need a toothpick, some rubber bands, half a tyre and Richard Dean Andersen.

And a time machine...

I like hearing this - wouldn't mind if Gys was 'glued' to Grimesy this offseason. Like the Gys - from an outside point of view looks like he needs to do some hard yards, would love to see him play well in the red and blue

Sounds like Martin will be traded - Im not unhappy about that

Pretty sure they'd laugh & tell us to keep him.

A loss for us when pick 30 would be a win and their later pick would be breaking even. IMO.

Martin is contracted for 2013, so a trade assumes that he is prepared to move to the Sunshine State. May be reluctant given his studies? I'd love to get pick 23 for him, but I doubt that even Brisbane would be silly enough to play that game.

I reckon pick 30 is great value for Stefan, considering we got him off the rookie list and he isn't a regular part of the team now. Lets let someone else get enticed by his athleticism and potential, and have the opportunity to grab another young prospect.

I just don't see us needing Martin any longer. Not with what Spencer showed late last year, nor Sellar's play. Not to mention the fact that we've still got Gawn and even Fitzpatrick to play in the ruck.

If pick 30 is on the table, we should be accepting that straight away.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
