Does anyône check their facts he missed a few rounds with injuries at the start of the year, he kicked 5 goals in a half of footy in the casey 2s then he kicked 4 then 3goals i the casey 1st, peaple on this site called for release the cooky monster, then he had some bad weeks then every one was calling for him tn be delisted. So peaple dont let the truth get in the way of a good story.

I've noticed the player reviews have been unbelievably optimstic and rose-tinted, until Cooks. It definitely wasn't the brightest and most hopeful out of the lot.

I'm still hoping whatever made Prendergast think '12' appears soon. Or Carlton wants to trade another first round pick to us, I wouldn't say no either :)

A FITTER, bigger and stronger Lucas Cook is desperate to prove Melbourne wrong and transform into an AFL player at a second club.

http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/sport/afl/lucas-cook-out-to-prove-melbourne-wrong-and-forge-an-afl-career-at-a-second-club/story-fnahs424-1226493750429

Cook, the under-18 All-Australian centre half-forward, is set to be delisted by the Demons after just two years on their list.

The Dees used the No. 12 pick in the 2010 draft to snag Cook but never handed him an AFL debut.

The Ballarat product has been training every second day since the season finished in a bid to earn a second chance and, with a trade unlikely to eventuate, is set to become a delisted free agent on November 1.

That means Cook, 20, can sign at the club of his choice. The delisted free agency period spans until November 13, before the second official list lodgement.

“It’s safe to say he’s not going to be at Melbourne next year. The signs aren’t good that good that they want to keep him,” Cook’s manager Marty Pask told SuperFooty.

“Right now he’s training really hard, he’s put on 3kg and he’s got a pretty extensive weights program he’s gone and got some assistance with.

“He has some interested clubs that are in the need for a key-position footballer. Some have expressed interest in him playing as a centre half-back, others as a centre half-forward.”

Should have been doing this training two years ago.

His manager doesn't sound very hopeful!

Exactly what I thought! Why does he decide to put on the 3kgs now, couldn't he find the dumbells and protein powder before....

Why do I have the feeling the assistance he's got is from one P Scully?

IMO these issues are a part of our past culture where Eeeasy games are handed out, & the Jumper treated as a Joke.

We need to Stop honouring kids when they sign on & we thank them for coming to Us.

They should be thanking Melbourne!

Lol I'm sure Phil has the money to donate a few quarter-pounders to the cause.

Am I right in that he adds (if only in a minor way ) to the overall FA equation ?

You are correct olisik.

However I think there is more than smoke in this one.

I am finding it hard to be concerned now

Just sits in my mind as the perfect example of the missed opportunities that happened as part of the Bailey and BP era.

we mostly blew 4 years away for very little.

I'm not fussed whether we trade / delist Cook, I don't see it in him personally, but this pisses me off

He would've had the best programs and equipment at his disposal, yet NOW he decides to seek assistance with his weights

Baffling

Jack Darling says hi

I was wondering when he would appear.

I was determined it would not be me who raised the name of JD.

Thanks for letting me off the hook olisik

No wonder Carlton did so sh$t this year with BP as their opposition analyst.

Was probably telling Ratten that we would be playing Cook at CHF and that Eddie Bettes should play on him.

    TRAINING: Monday 20th January 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to
