BT is costing Ch 7 big time in terms of numbers. Their complaints log book is up 24% on 2011. He is the master of bumbling-isms and wowee-isms which have alienated many viewers. Those that sing his praises are the minority and his long term future is...

I still reckon Sandy Roberts was the best comentater.....

Here's hoping for a good coverage from 7 today. Pray they don't lose the ball and that they give away all those strange camera angles. Probably asking for too much.

I thought they always went for the same footy?

seriously Bruce should be retired. He just comes out with the same crud weekly.

I wish i had access to Roy & H.G.

Remember Mike Williamson. Now there was a man who knew how to call a game.

Superb.

absolutely, WYL.

In those days we had a few non footballer callers, they were very good. It wasn't abut Them, it was about the bloody game.

What was with them showing BT and Darcy on the ground after the game, show the players!!!!!! who gives a fruitcake about seeing those two muppets.

Lucky to switch across to Fox after the game and get some good game analysis and inside interviews from Roos.

I'm happy for Bate and Cale to get another year as long as BT's contract is terminated.

Thank god for Fox....I never thought I'd hear myself say that.

I thought Brooooce was calling today?

Having watched the whole season in hd, I was delighted to watch the most important game of the year in standard def. what a disgrace.

Yep someone should let channel 7 know that their great camera angles from behind the player taking a set shot are pointless if you can't actually see the footy because of their crappy SD broadcast.

I doubt you'd see the footy in HD either (but I agree that the football should be broadcast in HD) because of the ball blending into the background. And it's made worse when the camera and the ball are both moving. Sometimes I only know its a goal because the ad starts. I certainly don't actually see the goal itself being scored.

How bad was that, couldn't see the ball at all with that stupid shot.

As for HD, well that is a joke.

I'm amazed that people don't understand this is clearly part of an agreement with Toyota to show their logo.

The fact that no-one notices the logo (I didn't) suggests that companies plastering their names everywhere doesn't really work.

Lewis Martin the 7 boss is on with KB after 10 this morning and taking calls. Will be interesting to hear the spin he puts on their poor coverage of football. If he's smart he will listen to what the fans are saying and take action, let's hope so.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
