Im going to the pre match function to listen to what the club has got to say about the future of the club.

I just thought it might be a good time to meet some other demonland fans before the game.

We could all have a chat about the club in person for once.

Cheers guys

All tickets have been allocated. I was late RSVPing and rang last week only to find all tickets were gone. Should be a good rev up for the supporters. Get fired up for the first smash on Sculls. Cant wait. How pathetic. A game against GWS and it is (hopefully) going to be a highlight of our season.

Wasn't really worth attending.

A light feel-good affair low on content.

Sad to say, but I got very little out of it other than a free lunch.

Slightly disagree. A few words I noted. McLardy and Schwab saying that we will be very active in trading recruiting and free agency. Intimated that the Mitch get will be repeated. Clint Bartram also said something odd. It went along the lines of them looking to finish off the year strong as a group as the group wouldn't be the same next year ... or something to that effect. All in all I got the feeling that there was no sugar coating of the list and that we had to go hard to build it up.

The line about "this list will never play together ever again" is so tired and cliched that it gets used at amateur footy clubs.

Every year there are changes, it's not new.

Also the words about trading & recruiting didn't really reveal anything.

I'm sure that intention is there most years - getting the deal over the line is another thing.

I was under the impression there was going to be an open Q&A session.

Some may have been satisfied, but I was bored for the most part.

Hey, I was going to say that to the boys at training...

And rpfc is anything but cliched.

I pity the fool who thinks I am cliched.

So bored I suppose that you stayed for the free food?

I was hoping for some Q&A as well, was a bit disappointed but at the end of the day it was something to make the supporters feel more involved and there was a match about to go on shortly after - not really the time and place to open up cans of pent up supporter frustration worms.

The function is an annual event which is part of the Premium Members membership package. In my opinion this was the best one in a long time in terms of the number of speakers - Don McLardy, Josh Mahony, Leigh Brown, Clint Bartram, Brad Green & Mark Neeld with a video message - the venue (Jim Stynes room) & the quantity of food available. Don McLardy said he would be giving a prepared talk - the same one he gave at the President's lunch and quoted in The Age. There was not the opportunity to ask questions but everyone was invited to speak to a staff member or e-mail the club if they wanted to be invited to one of the members forums.

That's pretty much it.

I wasn't going to leave and buy lunch when they were laying all that on!

I stayed in case something of interest came up, and I left pretty disappointed.

It was free, but I felt like the event had promised to be a bit more than what we got.

Nothing wrong with sharing an honest opinion. Hopefully it will be what you hoped for next time.

I went to last years one as well so kind of knew what to expect - location was way better this year how good is that Jim Stynes room? Beautiful view of the ground, do we get access to that as part of our Tridents membership or is it for the top grade members (or corporates) only?

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k

OVER YET? by KC from Casey

The Friday evening rush hour clash of two of the VFL’s 2024 minnows, Carlton and the Casey Demons was excruciatingly painful to watch, even if it was for the most part a close encounter. I suppose that since the game had to produce a result (a tie would have done the game some justice), the four points that went to Casey with the win, were fully justified because they went to the best team. In that respect, my opinion is based on the fact that the Blues were a lopsided combination that had
