Whose this Kendall fella whose kicked a bag for Tassie. Anyone have any details on him

I saw Tassie play Queensland a week ago and no one from Tassie really stood out. Loneragan looked ok first game back from injury but has a bit of the Brock McLeans about him. Kendall made no impression.

I'm going tomorrow. I know everyone on here has differing opinions but I am of the opinion that jv will be pick 3. Would love it otherwise but I can't see that happening.

My opinion is that it will be toumpas or wines at 4 if it is not traded.t Toumpas is captain and wears no.2 for sa. Smooth mover and is a real reason why sa is so good this year. They lost to vm but toumpas didn't play. Sa dominated wa last week and have some real talent. He is also a terrific kick and has a very high work rate.

Wines is as tough as they come, very much like viney. Works very hard and hits very hard. Maybe has a bit to do with being a mate of vineys and Todd as a junior coach. He will be right in the thick of it against sa tomorrow.

If we still have pick 13 (I think doggy's activated a priority as well) and don't trade it I would love one of Kennedy, Mayes, vlastuin or menzel. I don't believe menzel is playing tomorrow. Kennedy is little short but he is inside, runs and kicks goals. He reminds me of Blair at the pies. Mayes has played in the midfield this year but was a forward last year. Also kicks goals. Both sa boys.

Vlastuin is vm captain and has been playing on a back flank this year. He has been difficult to assess because of the possession he has been playing.

There are some guns not eligible for the draft. Boyd looks awesome and the 2 wa boys who were quiet last week amongst others.

Where's Serhat Temel these days?

Any chance of having a look at him now that he's matured?

Changed his name to Jonathon Patton by deed poll.Looks good to me.Have a look tomorrow at a young player whom reminds me of Temel ,his name is Tom Boyd, a 199, 94 kl, trimmed down from 103, CHF, or FF whom is just 16, born 22/08/95. He will make up for Temel.Boyd is a beauty.

I've taught and coached this kid since he was about 13. He's definitely athletic. I always worried about his intensity and his hardness but he's had an impressive 12 months. The rest of his family moved to WA and AFL Qld encouraged him to stay up here and gave him a job and a lot of AFLQ staff give him a good chance of being drafted.

I've actually got a connection to two others in the QLD U18's - Ives and Gribble. Gribble is still underage but like Aliir has had a really impressive 12 months. He's got good goal sense and good skills. He's building a motor and is gradually getting harder and harder (his weakness). Should be a chance to be drafted next year or rookied by one of the QLD teams.

The real gem is Ives - the kid is a freak. Despite his height (listed for the carnival at 176 but I thought a little taller) he ticks all the boxes. He ran a 14.1 beep when he was 13, has great skills and has an impressive vertical leap and marking game for his size. He knows where the goals are and loves the physical side of the contest having played plenty of Rugby League when he was younger. Would love it if the Dees identified him as late draft possibility. I'd definitely take the chance.

Great to see Allir BOG & Ives one of the best last match.

Sure is. Apparently Aliir's ruckwork was the difference between QLD and NT. The boy can certainly jump. At 194cm it will be interesting to see what will happen with him. He's still very raw (despite the best efforts of his High School coach!) and has much to learn but he's definitely a good kid. He's one of those naturally talented types that always looks like they're coasting.

Having a look at team selections it seems that a number of highly rated players won't take the field today.

No Viney, Whitfield, Vlastuin, Toumpas (injured), Wines, Stringer.

Disappointing.

Darcy Bailey named in the backpocket for Vic Metro... that wouldn't be Deans kid would it?

I wouldn't be too worried about that right now, it looks like they've just got them in in alphabetical order until final sides are named.

Ahh they have too... good pick up.

With Jack Viney coming back last Friday after a 6 week break with injury during which time he lost 8kg it wouldn't be a good idea for him to play another game 5 days later. He shouldn't be pushed too hard - that's it.

Indeed a salient point, 8kgs is a lot of weight to lose and they would want to manage his loads until he can get back to his optimal physical fitness. Still may play today as Dr. Mubuto pointed out but wouldn't be surprised or even unhappy if he was to sit this one out.

8 kg's?! I guess a broken jaw = liquid diet but 8kgs is a fair % to loose

Maybe thats the next radical weight loss procedure. No more lap banding, just a hip & sholder to the face!

I'm surprised the club's dietitian would let that happen, but what would I know

Watching sa v vc at etihiad. Toumpas out there, contrary to prevous poster's report.

Back flank, silky skills indeed.

Yep, mis-read the article on him thinking he would miss this game. Having surgery to fix his hip after this game and will miss the rest of the year. Looks like a player.

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
