Have a watch and get back to me.

If you still think he's a dud and is a contributing factor to why 'Carlton won't win a flag' then

we can end this debate. It will confirm that you know have a shallow understanding of the game AFL.

Oh, and please stop using those corny comebacks. Time to reload cowboy? Seriously?

How to convince someone a player isn't a dud?

Show them in games against 2 of the competitions battlers.

Can you tell me what he does against Brisbane worthy of a highlights reel. All I saw was several head high cheap shots resulting in Brisbane free kicks, some poor play by Brisbane coughing it up to him, 3 poor kicks forward resulting in turnovers. I couldn't be bothered watching the port lowlights.

Really chief is that your best shot?

Roost It your opion is 12 months old. Robinson was very good last season. He is a dirty player who I have no respect for, butthe fact is he would walk into the Melbourne side, and provide the hardness we lack.

Back on topic - Watts will be a gun.

Debate over. My first impression has been confirmed.

All the best on your quest to understand football Roost It.

Hopefully the four other poster's opinions on Robinson will make you think twice/thrice....(however many times you need to think it over)

Over and out.

I am interested to know how many goals Watts could kick in one game this season with Clark as the new focal point?

I'm hoping he can bag five in a game or two this year. Would be great if he could.

We will get a look at Magner on Saturday. He has been named in the NAB squad.

Jack Watts has it all, and in spades. He will be a champion of the club and a star of the competition.

People have to remember he's only 6 months older than Trengove and has played 40 games.

Yeh right - important players should always go all-out in intraclub practice matches, especially if it means risking injury to themselves or one of their colleagues. You may or may not be right about Jack, but it's a terrible example.

It's the same trait he's shown at VFL level and AFL level, yet you somehow think he's just being intelligently cautious because it's an intraclub practice match ?

Yeah, right. Maybe he should have taken Mitch Clark aside and whispered in his ear that he was throwing caution to the wind ?

I want Watts to succeed more than you. But I don't make excuses for players just because they wear red and blue. Naturally, you can please yourself.

Agree with all of this.

Can't wait to see Watts this year!

Watch the youtube clip again and let me know whats so special about a guy giving away head high frees and polaxing himself. i found it amusing and it reaffirmed my correct beliefs in Robinson.

he's a bafoon and nothing more

He has so much talent, but no physicality. Granted the conditions didn't suit. But really. At least have a presence.

You don't want to give him another couple of games before judging?

Agree to an extent, but I'm prepared to give him a decent opportunity in the standard format.

I'll give him another 50 games, let alone a couple, but I'll also have an opinion on what I see.

Nail on head.

Even though he is still developing his frame, he needs to learn how to attack the ball as if his life depends on it.

I sure hope it comes soon.

And is that physicality going to happen ? What if it doesn't ?

We all want it to happen but maybe we have to start accepting Jack for who he is - A highly skilled athlete who is best suited as a Utilty / Rebounding backman / Pinch hitting forward . Not a CHF , not yet anyway .

Sellar or Martin could be our best bets at CHF . Rotating these 2 with Watts in a pinch hitting role at CHF may be the best case scenario .

My opinion on Jack is not based on last nights game , though I didn't see anything different from the last 3 years .

Cheers ®

Conditions didn't suit him... Please

He's playing a winter sport FFS. So if conditions are slippery and wet during the year we shouldn't play him?

Hopefully he gets a rocket after last night because that performance was the very definition of bruise free footy.

I don't think conditions suited any footballer last night, but others asserted themselves more than others.

Supporters are still waiting for #1 to perform as this is his 4th or 5th year in the system? Don't make me address the elephant in the room by mentioning some huge ruckman that plays out west.....that's right........

yet some people here wanted him to be a captain candidate. absolute joke

Not really , One lousy NAB game does not mean he is crap . He will win us a few games .

You mean the elephant in the room when NicNat had a great start to last season and Watts didn't or the elephant in the room that disappeared when Watts started putting good games together in middle part of the season and NicNat went quiet or the elephant that returned when Watts season tapered off and NicNat had a few good games at the end.

Hmmm...better not mention elephants - they can be fickle

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
