How can one take a list with so much (perceived) talent, and just absolutely positively f*** it all up so badly?? It's criminal what these coaches have done to this team - I can't name one player whose game has gone to a new level under Neeld, in fact absolutely everyone on our list has gone undoubtedly backwards.

Neeld walked in like a white knight saying 'I will coach the hardest team to play against in the comp', G Lyon and co got sucked in, creamed themselves and have apparently appointed the wrong bloke.

This team is a disgrace.

Neeld was highly respected and sought after in the AFL prior to his appointment as our coach.

We need a new midfield. Even sure stars like Trengove are now performing poorly. Until we change the personnel through the middle we will not win a game. This is so unbelievably frustrating to watch. I can't remember us being worse than this and it's killing me

Do we need to hire another person on our talent scouting/recruitment team this year?

We could be taking A LOT of players in this draft... and we NEED to get it right...

yep, get that broom ready!

I'm not sure what the fallout of this will be. I cannot remember a worse performance. This reminds me of 186. Arguably worse, because at least Geelong are a good side.

Yep O'Keefe marking uncontested in goal square?

Clearly thats Neelds fault right? Players wouldn't know they should cover players in their goal square would they. They need to be taught that.

It really does sum up this rubbish about blaming the coach. The players cannot and do not do the basic defensive things that should be natural.

Well done Bailey on the attack mentality you have built in.

No doubt. But I find it incredibly difficult to believe that we would be playing so badly under Watters or Sanderson or McCartney. I can't imagine how Neeld sold himself to become so highly regarded.

As I have said several time. CC and CS must be sacked. They are the cause of our heatless football. Neeld got sold down the river.

It's pretty obvious guys...they aren't playing for the coach at all.

Must be the most uninspiring coach ever appointed.

Eff off. They have NOTHING to do with onfield performances, and all you people going on about them need to pull your heads in.

What? CC and CS are playing the game are they? Ridiculous post. Judge them on their jobs, not on what our football team displays on the field.

Yeah cos that happened all the time under Bailey..... Neeld has blame in this, he's not the only one, but if you're still sticking up for him when we are 0-9, you're blind.

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k

OVER YET? by KC from Casey

The Friday evening rush hour clash of two of the VFL’s 2024 minnows, Carlton and the Casey Demons was excruciatingly painful to watch, even if it was for the most part a close encounter. I suppose that since the game had to produce a result (a tie would have done the game some justice), the four points that went to Casey with the win, were fully justified because they went to the best team. In that respect, my opinion is based on the fact that the Blues were a lopsided combination that had

    CENTIMETRES by Whispering Jack

Our game is one where the result is often decided by centimetres; the touch of a fingernail, a split-second decision made by a player or official, the angle of vision or the random movement of an oblong ball in flight or in its bounce and trajectory. There is one habit that Melbourne seems to have developed of late in its games against Carlton which is that the Demons keep finding themselves on the wrong end of the stick in terms of the fine line in close games at times when centimetres mak
