There is no doubt we are losing because we suck but the umpiring is a joke.

Although the frees have been very lopsided I can't really argue with any of them. They are getting more frees because they are putting themselves in positions to win them.

I think we need a rebuild. We are a shambles.

What have we been doing the last 5 years?

In 2010 we were getting better. There are some underlying issues within the playing group that are causing this. They are a disgrace.

We MUST be tanking again. There's NO WAY a professional AFL coach would let a game go on like this without making ANY positional or strategical changes.

Then again, if that's the case, sack him. Now.

In the back to Trenners - nothing. Poor little Coxy give him a free...pathetic

Lay off the umpires for a while... West Coast put themselves in a position to get the benefit of the doubt, while I soft excuses for players do nothing. Most of the frees have been warranted and as much as I like him, Jones' staging for the free to get his 2nd goal, was a very very poor effort! We simply do not deserve anything better than the free kick count we currently have.

Joel MacDonald must not play another game for the MFC.

Hopefully the likes of Strauss, Tapscott and Morton will put their hands up for selection tomorrow for Casey.

Bennell did nothing......career over i reckon, same as Green.

Jamar still very ordinary... we really are a disgrace.....Port melbourne would beat us.

This is Dean Bailey's doing (and the senior players). Mark Neeld has got a huge job ahead of him.

Is this our game plan, free kick in the back pocket and kick it long to a 4 on 1 contest?!!?! This is just getting ridiculous, poor, poor, poor!!

Posted

It's days like this I kind of wish the MFC would just go belly up and put us all out of our misery. Then maybe I can go and watch some real footy for a change and be entertained instead of just being stressed all the time.

Do the Fox Footy commentators have any idea of Melbourne's list?

Of the young players who are coming back from injury through Casey and should be pushing for selection next week?

He seems a bit overawed doesn't he? Tough initiation but not great coaching thus far

Bennell 3 touches and red vested.

Should never ever play senior football again.

It's rebuild time. Bye bye Bennell. Bye bye Batram, bye Mcdonald, bye Rivers, adios Dunn.

Dare I say ta-ta Watts??

Trade Jamar whilst still holds value. Use compo picks on fresh talent, and hope for the best. See you again in another few years!

Yeah that's how I feel, he can talk the talk but he doesn't seem to have great match day tactics... I mean we are almost losing by 100 points and we are still going with the same structures!! And come on Bates should on from the start of the game...

I am a supporter of over 5 decades standing and have staunchly defended this team's performances for a long time now. I have always looked for positives, but after today's phoned in performance, I am starting to believe that I was wrong and that the naysayers are right... I am ready to throw in the towel!!!

The night is darkest before the dawn.....but this is the longest night I can remember.

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round. A couple of Demonland Trackwatchers braved the rain and headed down to Gosch's paddock to bring you their observations from the second day of Preseason training for the 1st to 4th Year players. Jefferson and Kentfield looked big and strong.  Petty was doing all the training. Adams looked like he was in rehab.  KE

2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. He showed great resilience in coming back from a nasty rib injury and is expected to continue in that role for another couple of seasons. It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield.
