You wouldn't pick Davey for a game of tiddlywinks after today's effort

Be fair, he's probably very good at non-contact games.

FFS, PLAY T. MCDONALD!

He had a great pre- season and got sh*t all game time in the NAB Cup. Why?

Has spent about 2 minutes learning to be a forward, and kicked 3 today. He is strong and tough, and he needs the experience.

I was a little confused why he didn't see much time in the NAB Cup. Showed promise last year, apparently was a standout over the summer, and played ok up in the monsoonal round robin joke. Good week to put his hand up as there are a bunch who should come out.

Does anyone know what position Morton played? Was it a "physical game"?

Did McDonald actually play at FF? Could he fill the absolute vacancy, the desperate long term deficit, we have at CHF currently?

How did Tapscott play? Not mentioned in the better players but was he close?

Was Sellar playing on a 'monster' in defence?

Dunn with 3 goals not mentioned in the better players? Were these hard fought goals or gimmies?

Bartram suspended? For that 'sling tackle'. If he is that's almost as bad as JT's suspension last year.

Forget Morton please Good Times- not again ,not until he has suffered .

Tappy yes please .

Couch-why not

Bennell -pace ,skill and accountability would be good .

Didn't say it was right but it is what's going to happen. At least it saves him from being dropped.

If Morton played well yesterday he deserves to play against WCE.

Apparently the penny dropped for him some time during the pre-season and was showing signs of his old self. He has holes in his game but he also has enough weapons to benefit the side next week.

Hopefully a few other things dropped as well

Poor Good Times....on the end of a stray Biffo Biff! Too funny

It actually kills me that we passed on Fyfe twice, at pick 11 for Gysberts and pick 18 for Tapscott. Fyfe was highly rated pre-draft, everyone knew about him.

Fyfe is an absolute star of the competition, and our 2 guys are injury-prone, unfit and can't make it in the best for the VFL.

And everyone let him get through to the pick he got to. Hindsight is a wonderful thing. Disagree on picking him before Gysberts but agree with Tapscott on the basis they both played as half forwards during the champs so you can argue like for like and they are so close in the pick they were chosen..

The guy's head did NOT hit the ground, and he was NOT injured.

If that is now an illegal tackle the game has deteriorated to basketball netball level

After yesterdays results for both Melbourne & Casey I'd be looking at:

Bennell for Davey

Couch for Moloney

Dunn for Green

Petterd (if fit) for Blease &

Sellar for Mac Donald

Gysberts, T. McDonald & Tapscott emergencies.

Need to bring some physicality into the team which Couch, Dunn & Sellar all do, Sellar also helps with WC's tall forwards, and Bennell & Petterd to hopefully give us some forward pressure.

Moloney you may bring back in after 1 week in he dominates. Davey & Green would have to dominate for weeks on end to earn a recall. Morton & T. McDonald clearly wont be far away if they can continue their good form & I have no doubt both Gysberts & Tapscott will be better for their runs.

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an
