WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - RORY TAGGERT

Recommended Posts

I like to think I ask the significant questions on this site...has the Melbourne FC ever had a player called Rory before?

Edit: brain fart.

I got Jeff mixed up with Rory Hilton.

This could be our first Rory, if so it's a fantastic milestone.

Nah nah. Once it's off, it's anyone's property. :D just weird to see it. I had it for probably nearly 2 years. :D

As for the pick... I'm thinking of a Rohan Bail type deal here. Unheralded player, no-one knows anything about him... BP given a hard time... then he slots into the side.

Your a good sport Dappa-however, it suits a lady more than you.Welcome back !

I don't know how he will go but those that question the speculative teenager we took at pick 36 because of the speculative teenager we overlooked just make me roll my eyes...

Your post doesn't make sense-please explain your point,as I am always interested in what you say.

This is an extract (on Rory) from a little article on prospective draftees from the Rebels. Interesting read, link to the full article is below.

Rebels regional manager Phil Partington says: He has an AFL kick and AFL mark, very powerful legs that can accelerate quickly and a high vertical leap. There are certainly parts he needs to improve on but that will come.

Funny, because in one of the articles posted on the MelbourneFC website, it mentions the fact that he appears laconic yet manages to keep in the clear... sounds a little like a description of Travis Johnstone or Col Garland? I'm really looking forward to seeing him in action (perhaps he might get a run in the NAB Cup?).

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
